  4. Me to Chris. Tomorrow evening will be fine David, keep him hungry in the morning so he'll come back in tomorrow evening. I would still let junior out as well, again keep him hungry and if you let him out in the evening he shouldn't go off knowing food isn't far away. Phil

  9. anybody only had to look at this forum this morning to see the birds shouldn't go up! If it was a fed or combine somebody would be sacked but this won't happen here, they can't sack themselves they'll just start thinking about next year and more money!

  11. Gareth, do you think given the fact that no birds have made it, that if anybody had a call this evening with a bird they wouldn't drive it to Cardiff for £30000? I don't think there are many that wouldn't, do you? Phil

  14. Do i recall that the region were refusing them a licence? Was it for many of the reasons that have been stated above and why did they issue one in the end?
  15. Thats another story Chris, surely all the birds should be transfered and registered to the one-loft! If an bird gets reported then the breeder will be responsible for the cost of return, but what if a bird is sent without a wingstamp etc, the breeder gets suspended and the one loft organisers carry on regardless! Phil
  16. I think even if there were thunderstorms from start to finish the would have been up, just look at the advert in the BHW Rose, they were committed!
  17. I spent a lot of time at the Gutteman centre, Stoke Mandeville where a lot of dissabled athletes train and compete within there fantastic facilities. These lads & lasses put a lot of us to shame with there enthusiasm and commitment. Phil

  21. If they held the birds until tomorrow where the forecast is good then how many people would take a day off and go? Just look at the full page advert in the BHW to see how much money has been spent, let alone, how many people would have gone today for the Auction of the South West race if there wasn't the bonus of the Europa? Money, money, money and sod the birds!
  22. Its the right time inthe yb season for a 300 miler but we just havn't had good enough weather for a lot of yb races!
  23. Oldyellow, i've never acused anybody of cheating, just seems to much of a coinsidence! Like i've said, anybody thinking of entering have to make up there own mind, but I will never enter it!
