All strays should be reported to there official union, this is just a forum that a few members visit on occasion and you are unlikely to find the owner. Don't forget to check for wing stamps or name and address rings first as that will speed up contact with the owner.

I've been told the bird is in very very poor condition which would be a suprise if its only been out since Sat morning!

Thank you Gail, as you know the bird wasn't mine in the first place it belonged to a berieved friend. All the birds sold were sent with transfers, just a shame some don't use them! When a bird is found by the many kind non fanciers who just want to help our poor birds there is no excuse to not make immediate contact to at least reasure the finder something is being done and often to give them advise on short term care, water, food etc! Unfortunatly some always have an excuse!

Can anybody in the Crosby area of Liverpool help with collecting a bird from a non fancier please? The bird was sold to Vallance (whu08S11499) who has failed to transfer it or make arangements for the bird to be collected from the non fancier! He has said he gifted the bird out! If any body can help please either contact me or Gail J at the WHU as this is disgusting not to resolve the problem or even contact the non fancier!

Have you joined a club for rings etc? What clocks are they useing in the club?

if you contain the bird in a box with food and water the HQ of the Royal Pigeon Racing Associations Magazine is in Welshpool and i'm sure they would pop and collect the bird from you while the owner was saught.

That is probably the case because they do AI birds etc but thats not where the birds originated from. Who is the agent selling them?
