better late than never,, i would treat,, better with healthy birds feeding youngsters rather than the parents coping with worms and feeding, at the same time,, , this would take far too much out the adults which would have an effect on the youngsters,, i would take the chance,,

i would say,, not quite,, rollers are smaller birds,, but by the same token , overcrowding will produce less fit rollers that wouldnt fly to their full potential

you can see this each day here but quite easy to differentiate,from racers really,, but they fly fast and in all weathers,, they have too, or starve

in my opinion,,, dont even think about it

its a proven fact that pigeons, like most animals and birds, see completely different than humans i,e colours , veiwings etc etc,,,, its not normally said but pigeons have a keen sense of smell , so much so , some beleive this forms part of their homing ability,, all ver interesting [wish i was a scientist ;D ;D],,

just a word of advice usualy the first egg a pigeon lays ,often has a smear of blood on it, for any novices worried about this,,, nothing to worry about, and perfectly natural

break a bit from a calcium tab[ used commonly for osteophorosis, spelt wrong, too early ;D ;D ;D] these tabs are very large and a just a bit broken off will suffice, if you want to pay ;D use harkers elementals,, theyll put the bird right in 24 hours,[as will the above ], these are just calcium tabs and yeast tabs

i have used this in the past and found that it causes "dusty air] i now use easy bed [just for the breeding time] so that i can scrape the floor and boxes , then sweep the easy bed ubder the boxes and have a bare floor, [incidently, ive mixed a pack of loft treatment through this easybed,, i have found this easier with my dis-ability

again ,,,,the bird could not be raced as an old bird with a marker ring on as per shu rule a young bird can be sent to a race with a marker ring on it,, but only as a yb,,,, as per shu rule [think about it ]

quite agree patty boy ,, its the fanciers, be it wild song bird fanciers, fancy pigeon fanciers ,show bird fanciers , racing pigeon fanciers , farmers , game keepers that should be all pulling from the same rope all that keep any sort of birds ,,,,,all are having them killed by hawks , i beleive all pigeon unions,,,con-federations , the save our songbird trust s,o,s [made up mainly of dis-satisfied ex-members of the rspb],,the , gamekeepers,,, etc etc should join in force , also the public made aware of the true facts why the songbirds are dissapearing fast [and of course made aware of these war pigeons, that saved so many lives] there has to be a way , somehow, sometime,the sooner the better , but in genuine perseverence in never giving up this battle ,,,,,,by all, and alltogether,,,,the number of raptors are at an all time great , surely this has to be sought into, by the proper authorities i,e the law,,,, i,e the wild life and country act ,its time now for some of these wildlife and country acts to be changed
