  6. as i said in my other post would you be able to shoot all the hawks, when the pigeons are flying the 500 mile gauntlet? through moors mountains and valleys.no, but there has to be a way legally, to at least balance the population of ever increasing hawks, even just to get an opening, through the law somehow. shooting one in the garden may solve your imediate problem but its the uk population we want sorted out.

  8. peanuts are full of protein and good for the growing youngster, but it still needs a balanced diet,, it would be like you having steak for breakfast dinner and tea, but the old birds will naturally eat more protein whilst feeding young
  9. whats the answer tam [legally]
  10. tam , with due respect you cannot break the law, and whats worse is aiding people to break the law, you will be well aware that the rspb [not the rspca,as you say]will be reading these posts, you do what you want do do, but its unfair to others to aid them in breaking the law. im quite sure there are many fanciers have ways of keeping hawks away.i completely understand you, but it would be better done legally, as there would be fanciers in serious trouble,if they get caught.in these council run nature reserves the council show you pictures what you should see, all sorts of song birds, well i didnt see any just a few sparrow hawks, so i will report this to the council and take the matter further, to my counciller, now if every body done this in the uk, maybe, just maybe, something could be done, legally . i mean hundreds of nature reserves with no song birds, but hawks around ,something has to be done, and tam , please, youll never skin the rspb in 15 weeks.,not even in 15 years im not getting at you tam , i know how you feel, but i think we have to be carefull what we print, good luck anyway tam

  19. ROOF COLAPSES IN POLAND KILLING AT LEAST 12 PEOPLE A ROOF COLAPSED YESTERDAY IN POLAND, KILLING AT LEAST 12 PEOPLE AND INJURING SOME 100 OTHERS . THE EXHIBITION HALL BUCKLED AT 17.30 LOCAL TIME, UNDER THE WEIGHT OF FALLEN SNOW, AS HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE CONGREGATED AT A PIGEON SHOW ATTENDED BY ENTHUSIASTS FROM ALL OVER POLAND, BELGIUM, THE NETHERLANDS, GERMANY AND THE UKRAINE. A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE MAY STILL BE TRAPPED UNDER THE DEBRIS IN THE SMALL SOUTHERN POLISH CITY OF KATOWICE, RESCUERS SAID, ADDING TO THE BITTER WEATHER , TEMPS REACHING MINUS 15 CELCIUS MADE THEIR PLIGHT ALL THEMORE DIFFICULT. A SECOND COLLAPSE HAPPENED ABOUT 90 MINS LATER, DURING RESCUE OPERATIONS. KATOWICE FIRE BRIGADE SPOKESMAN JARSOSLAW WOJTASIK SAID "THE SITUATION IS CHANGING DRAMATICALLY. 20. once theve hatched westy, as much as theyll eat, as much protein down them as you can ie peas beans, peanuts etc youll find they wont even eat the carboheydrates ,maize etc, they know what they want an when they want it, but whilst rearing make sure theres plenty of minerals, grits pickstones . theyll eat all this like mad, once they stop feeding youll notice they wonteat nearly as much, grit mineralsand pickstones, and will eat the maize then, hope this helps westy cheers
