    Moult

Enjoyed it Lewis, enough for me to have a look this year.Ive always studied the birds in the moult and think people dont pay enough attention to it.I like to see a pigeon grow a fraction in length every year from yearling to 4 years.A sure indication its had a good moult. This is just one of my requirements during moult , probably more fads but seems to work out.Ive stopped pigeons for a year because I didnt think they had done this and they then have a great moult and score in national following year.jmo

Not heard this one ,can u elaborate Lewis .I know that the moulting season is the most important part of the year and this is where folk fall down by not focussing on it.

  9. I think Lanarkshire fed is way behind other feds in certain aspects.Although they are big, they are not very forward thinking. Glasgow fed have the best transportation, the fees are much better than any other ie.I believe its £100 for your fees but that includes all birdage for ob and ybs,( this saves a fortune if you have alot of pigeons )plus 10 training tosses on the transporter for their members ( helping those without transport ) .A bit special, if ye ask me.

  11. I would like to thank Jack Thornhill from Lockerbie who got one of my ybs handed into him and nursed it back to health. The bird was picked off street flown out.Jack contacted me immediately and I was arranging to get it picked up when he said , give it a few days to recuperate before having it travel again.Hes just off the phone to say it is almost back to normal and we can get it up the road now.I found out later that Jack is suffering from the big C and doesnt race pigeons now but still helps anyone he can.A true gentleman in our sport , thanks Jack.

  13. Aye Mick, I can understand that.
  14. Sit back and accept it Mick, they want fed so feed the poor things with your pigeons. All yer doos arent good yins, give them some old timers that are of no use to you, or ybs that have slipped the ring in the nest.Poor peregrines need feeding, so help them out. Also helps save yer good yins
  15. I reckon the F/C were attacked by BOP as there are pigeons reported in Wales, Cumbria, Dumfries and Halifax.Half the convoy have headed south and the other half have worked there way home, maybe getting scattered a bit, hence the slower velocities than any other fed.Conditions on Saturday shouldve saw the convoy hitting at least 1700ypm.
  16. I think an antibacterial fluid would have to be used in communual drinkers Danny.
