ive stoped young cocks off proven breeders after only 2 or 3 races and went onto race well as oldbirds just getting them used to race night basket etc is more important than distance
i agree a lot of top men only give there young cocks now 3 or 4 races then hold them back for next year and there seems to be more and more top doo men doing this all the time
