  3. Mate just enjoy and fly your pigeons in whatever you want as they will both cater for your needs easily Both will have good guys, not so good guys and lots of politics I think they will both me much a muchness so whatever way you decide to go itll be the correct one
  4. If these are a gift your a true Gent Thats what pigeons is all about
  5. Hi - was wondering if anyone here has tried them? If so how did they do, Distance they flew well at and whether they were on Widowhood/Natural I know they are mainly from yesteryear but I just wondered
  6. You can get them from Louella for 40 quid mate- a bit steep
  7. I write this with a heavy heart. This Tuesday ill bury my Uncle who passed away last Tuesday aged 58 and possibly the end of an Era for my family. He has raced pigeons since the ripe old age of 7 firstly with my grandpa and then on his own after my Grandpa passing. As far as I can remember theres always been pigeons around and racing season but things might not just ever be the same again. I couldve joined in partnership with my uncle but I was never sure whether I wanted to do other things or race the doos I never went ahead and done it. I helped him for 2 years and results were great but I wanted to be my own man and raced on my own for a couple of years before packing it in. Ive fluttered with restarting many times and even got some doos but gave in rather quickly when other things popped up in my life. Then this year I decided to restart and get going again- i got some birds then was floored by stomach and bowel problems for 2 months. I remember when I was younger there was 25 members in my club and some real great doo man, these days I think all the best men in my area are gone and havent been replaced by the same quality of pigeon man. Im 35 and would be the youngest in my club unlike years ago when there were others younger than me. I was thinking is there any future when all the members are over 60??? in 5 years there could be 3 men in my area with pigeons which saddens me greatly...any thoughts on the subject?????

  11. one guy locally to me has 6 out of 44 so it was too cold for both I guess
  12. Alexandria- Clydebank Sunny but cold wind growing less as the day goes on
  13. wear a coat as sometimes they can be a cold mean wind...lol
  14. I have rings of my own if anyone is worried about that- I can send them no problem
  15. looks like im out of luck
  16. but both the SNRPC & SNFC cover Scotland so they are both Nationals some guys have to race North Road and both Ireland and Wales have outstanding National men/women
  17. Im going to race in the SNRPC and the SNFC in a couple of years when I get a team. One isnt better than the other- yes the SNFC is bigger but the SNRPC is growing and more and more people are joining. Theres a lot of good flyers in both so lets not call one a fraudster etc Why doesnt everyone just fly their pigeons- all this arguing is killing the sport. If people promoted the sport locally with as much passion as they have in arguing like kids then the sport would have a chance of thriving I live in an area where guys who were friends for years no longer talk to each other cos they are SHU or RPRA Ive joined both and two local clubs so on a saturday Ill have 2 races and when the time arrives the choice of a full program of both sets of nationals Double the chance of winning and competing- chance to set birds up for couble the amount of races- makes a lot of sense to me I grew up in a family surrounded by pigeonmen, there was a lot of comradary between them locally and the quality of Doomen seems to have went right downhill Not just in the skills ijn flying pigeons but the friendship aspect- all ive heard is people sniping and on these forums theres loads of "Expert Doomen" who ram their opinions down other throats If someone has an opinion then let him have his opinion- why slate him and have a go at his credability - it not about who is the best but doing your best and enjoying the sport Thers names on here such as Gareth Rankin, Jimmy White and Derek Hay - all of good character and dont force thier will on you These are all good Doomen and I know that in Derek and Gareths case Bred from good doomen ( Sorry Jimmy dont know you family history) Im just happy to come on the forums, talk pigeons and not get involved in the crap that some folk want to argue about Ive said my bit- Good luck to all in 08 Where and whatever you fly and what method you use

  19. and Jimmy Bamling is a great guy. Not only does he always prodice great Young Birds for everyone at great prices he is a good lad who always has time for anyone to talk about pigeons whether it be systems, advice, experiences or Ideas. So if you wanna start shooting someone down- you had better look at someone who isnt well thought of
