Jargre, you worry about what you buy i'll worry about what i buy ok?
-
Do you have any of the following that you are considering for sale: Direct Peter Van De Merwe, especially direct sons or daughters of GWEN, 048, BAUER, OVITA, AMIGO, SENNE, PIKEUR AND KATE etc. Also consider birds from Nicholas Adshead or Darren Peters. Direct son or daughter of Blain or Miss magic of the Wall, Lunt and Green partnership. would consider other sons and daughters of this partnerships top birds, but must be proven breeders. Please PM me in the first instance!

True mate, collie's can react real bad. Usually anything with Permethrin in will do the job.

greenlands sorry to hear you got a lot missing. But it really is the case that you should only worry about the ones you have back. I always say well (unless they dead) if those 10 have made it home then the other 16 should of too. We have all had these moments, sometimes we almost expect at least one a season, either from around the loft or training. I know a good few seasons ago this happened twice flying out, then i had two bad trainers too. I was left with 12 from 42. Our second race we had a stinker, guess what, my 12 were there home and dry, with a 1,2 3, to boot. That was there last race of the year, for me work done, what else could i teach them, they told me i could'nt. Best thing i ever did, and they proved to be the best team of yearlings and two yesr olds i have ever had the pleasure to own. i would say some 30 cards and 10 wins between them. I often wonder would they have done this had they not had them 4 tough testers, i doubt it. Chin up matey your faith in them if patient will repay you, and i'd bet you get a few more home, and hope you do too.

you buy, you breed you sell. The reult is you have a team of young uns from good birds for free!
-
Jeremy, keep up the good work! Bit off topic, but do those De Klaks race down to 600 mile? Someone told me they did, very well!
-
Hey Micko would'nt wory about the doubters. At the end of the day then send you rings or not. If they do, then unless they specify you keep them and don't sell/pass them on, you can do as you like with them! Same with if someone gives you pigeons really. PM me your address i'll send you a few up, i have one here from a cock that won 12 x 1sts and topped the fed as well as twice 2nd.

Do you get your droppings tested by a vet or lab. If you do could you PM me with who did it and what the results were of your last test. Also good to know if you had a problem as the reason you got them tested and did any medications that were prescribed work. Thanks.

Its happened before and will happen again, hapened to me, one thing that gives it away is the bright green colour (when strarved and water deprived), all over feet and underneath of bird.

so you want to do well in a national and so you go to all these flyers to buy your stock, and hey presto instant success, NOT! one thing a lot of these flyers have in common is the size of teams.i know it does not make any difference (or some would say), most have not just big race teams but massive stock teams. if you buy from these buy from the birds that are breeding the national winners, not the brothers sisters aunts uncles etc, that they want to sell at a good price. pick a small team man who is consistent, always there in every type of race, there are a few about, none of which are mentioned above.research is the key.

nearly full moon in sky with the sun today and will be tomorrow, watch the races today.should never let birds rang for a month without training.

have a stock hen that went off color only laying one egg.she lost wait so i kept close eye on her,did not appear to be in egg but had horrid smelling dark green droppings.on closer exam could see a broken egg shell that she has now passed, but throat has gone very pail, eyes gone dull and she still losing wait but she is eating.is there anything more you think i can do,she only 2007 but bred good ones already.always grit and minerals in shed and i give calcium boost once every couple months.

thought you were buying in distance birds?
-
I bet you a pound to a penny all the clubs had better than usual birdage for these early channel spins. Why, because there has been too many blow homes, the birds been having it easy, not too much thinking, not too much hard work, and the lads get carried away too, not thinking how these channel hops can be a different kettle of fish. half the birds entered should not been in the race to start with.
-
what so special about the caudwell system?as with any system you still need the birds, youcan only bring there best out and cannot make them better.
-
can any experts on colours tell me what you could get pairing a red chequer to a blue (slight pied).just bred 2 and i am bit worried they may not have the same dad.i have no ideas on the colour of these two parents.

one of the best reasons to use them and not mentioned yet is to force a rest period at the start of the week, especially if on the seperated sex systems.give it then no exercise untill tuesday and birds will be well rested.glucose is a must in the water with and after you give them.
