Nearly every second stand will have pigeons on it last year i went with the intention of buyting one cock bird and came back in the end with my cock bird PLUS two more pairs. Just remember to try and get a few quid knocked off

I haqve been to sales where the birds have fetched astronomical amounts but then have also been to sales where they were nearly giving the bird away at 30-40 each The best thing to do is arrange a budget for yourself and not go over that in my younger days i went to a sale on the Friday evening ended up spending nearly my whole budget for the weekend on this one pigeon that would be a star well it wasnt in the end and i had to use my good old friend barclay card to get through the weekend Ben go round the show have a look if you see something you like do a bit of bartering once you have the price you want take the bird much less stressful than the auctions

Reddings reopens tomorrow from what they said other week, all rings already ordered will be despatched tomorrow. I am almost certain you cant get them via collection and you must when ordering have your current years membership card.

Mine came from haspalaar I do know of some secondhand ones for sale as i am about three short for the stock loft and am fetching them on Friday Pm me if your interested mate and see what we can do

I am going on the Wednesday before the show so i get some free time before working at the show. This year i dont feel like it yet but no doubt will do nearer the time

I have them fitted through my race loft and am fitting into my stock loft over the next week or so as i feel they are a must now both for the time saving element and the hygeine( birds not walking in own sh**) I would not be without them i have them raised about 4 inches off the floor this gives me a lot of time until i have to clean them

i have two metal stall traps i have taken them off my loft for my ets traps i cant measure them now as going to work however i will mesure them tomorrow and if i can also post a picture of them

Thats the Auctioneers job Mark to get the best price for his client and to earn himself as much commision as possible. I do however agree with Fair Play the whole stink of taking someones winning bid as an opening bid in the auction room stinks you are basically being used as some of you have already said. He emailed me today asking if i would give him some white pigeons as he is a poor youngster so cant afford to pay what i want - i gave him a pretty fair response however in the last hour i got another email saying it was not him but i have him mixed up with his brother however the email came from the email address of a jamie Cox. I know sammy i got it when i listed some birds hence me not listing anymore i watch the hassle some people get and dont really think it is worth it. Wishing you a Merry Christmas
