2 birds are unrung, a red and a blue. These were given to me as latebreds from a local fancier out of his best pair and he swears they were too good to kill.

Hi All, I have 11 birds for rehoming, think there's an 07 pair of busschaerts and all the rest are this years birds. Most have raced and I will supply Results sheets and the limited pedigress I have with the birds. There are: Busschaerts, Delbar cross, Jan Theelan, Le Febre Dhanien cross, Piet van burgen (spelling?). PM me for more info. I have an offer from Vet School! and an extension means destruction of the garage (where I have raced them to). Free to anyone that wants them, carriage must be paid by the reciever however.

Have been asked to ask here by a club mate, does anyone know what cubs are available to be won now that the end of the season has come and how do you go about nominating a pigeon as a possible candidate to win a cup? Tariq.

Hello everyone. I've been having really bad problems with my parents, I'm being picked on at home, but I'm sticking it out, buckling down, pushing on with my A levels and making sure I get where I want to go. Then I'll be in control :-/ Anyway, my father stole my digital camera after I threatened to film him calling me all sorts, making all kinds of threats etc :-/ But I bought a new one off eBay after selling some junk on there, so now I can post some pictures up of my birds Firstly, some pictures of my birds going in this evening: EDIT - Doh I put them on the thread backwards, so it looks like its being rewound! Start from the bottom of this post to see the pictures in order ;D

A club mate is looking for some of these and has asked me to see if I can find him some on the internet. Does anyone know of a reputable breeder selling good Tournier Pigeons? Regards Tariq.

Hello People. Sorry I have not posted here for a while, I have had some real problems at home with my parents and am even being threatened with being kicked out! My Father in a drunken rage destroyed my pigeon trap and I havn't really been happy at all. Anyway today I flew the last race of the young bird season from swindon and came 3rd and 4th - not bad! But, here's the thing, because I can't drive or anything and my parents don't take me, it's hard for me to train my birds. The first bird I got in has had 1 toss from 5 miles!! No other training! (56 mile race). I'm really happy with the result today, and well done to Glyn Hazelwood in first and Bob Sadler in second. Regards Tariq.

Forgot to mention, there are 4 races left. Maidstone Ramsgate Lillers Swindon. Tariq.

Hi everyone. Sorry I havn't given a regular update, I have been incredibly busy this summer holiday with work experience/duke of edinburgh hikes/exam results etc I thought it was about time I posted up some results. As I'l be applying to Uni next month and also because of a big extension we're having on the house which involves destruction of the garage, I may not be able to race old birds next year. But I have learned so much! When I come back to race pigeons again in the future when I'm settled, I'l have a really good idea of how to get well into it. Anyway, I started with 13 Pigeons. Up until the race before last I was doing quite well for losses, but the race before lost saw me lose about 5 birds, which took my total number of birds to 6. (I had had 1 or 2 losses prior). I put these 6 birds in for this weeks race and I so far only have 2 home, but i'm sure I'l get a couple more tomorrow. This is quite poor though, but as I don't drive and have little money, i don't think i'v done too badly. I also have another 7/8 younger ones which have not raced yet, which I will put into the comeback race at the end of the program. I don't want to be left with too many at the end of the season anyway because of University etc, I don't want to have to rehome loads of pigeons, so losses are not too much of an issue, i'm just keen to learn from them and have fun while i'm doing it. Here are how the season has gone for me: 12th July 08 - Hullavington, 38 miles, 2nd, 3rd, 7th. 20th July 08 - Hullavington, 38 miles, 7th, 8th, 10th 26th July 08 - Swindon - 54 miles, 6th, 8th, 9th 2nd Aug 08 - Swindon - 54 miles, 9th, 10th, 11th, 14th 17th Aug 08 - Newbury- 75 miles, 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th 23rd Aug 08 - Epsom - 121 miles, 7th, 9th I havn't come last every week in any case! and my first race especially went really well. Let me know what you think. Tariq.
