eagle owl just out of interest where do you race from n what motivatition techniques do you use ???????? WELL I THINK EVERY PIGEONMAN IN ENGLAND SHOULD INVEST IN A EAGLE OWL RELEASE IT AND AS YOU CLAIM ATTACK ANY OLD LADY/MAN AND YES I WOULD WNT ONE SAT ON MY LOFT AT LEAST THEN IT WOULD MAKE A CHANGE FROM BSTRDA SPAROWHAWKS , OH AND ICIDENTLY DO OAPS ONLY WALK DOGS????????????????
  3. okay then lets slate loella when you become so successfull that they are parked outside your house with a few thousand in a breifcase or more are you then going to say sorry, not interested !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. The other thing that puzzles me is if its a diet thing, why is it just an individual bird and not the whole flock that's affected? Surely that points to some sort of metabolism problem with that particular bird? by bruno when you race pigeons or train them why do they not all come back together when one looks sick why dont they all look sick when one has a sh** at 2.30 why dont they all have one even though they have all been treated the same way?????????????????? individualism perhaps? selection is the route to success
  5. bought 20 van loons this year late put them in first race sat 4th club plus other posistions slimmed them down to 13 got 13 one has decided foods beetter elswhere was coming back after training chuck 20 mins late with corn in crop same again tonight after 25 mile chuck this takes me now down to 12 one race to go then on to next year. all i can say is that canker the birds well not long from delivery or any other bird to be fair you buy in that way your loft stabilises at a reasonable level, like albear i to will inform of future progress..........

  13. hi folks i am going to fly hens n fly hens only , my questions are how to do this , the loft is going to be built accordingly , the hens can be morning trained either 15 or 25mile everyday if need be , ive got the book from b mccnicholas way with hens was after video by rick mardis which i was promised but to no avail on forum, the reason you may ask why well personly the hens want a *expletive removed* more than the cocks anyday and will trap straight away from training not peeing around and been arduous , i havent got the time to fly widowhood nor roundabout plus young bird racing as well, am currently flying to 24x8 but can accomodate from 36x16 or 48x8 p.m.s wouldnt go a miss

cabin boy if you are a novice with only 4 birds you are not going to get far but start organising birds for next year and start with young birds iwould recomend at least 50 due to losses n training , expect to end up with 20 and then go from there,,,,, when people talk about losses and losing birds it is usually from that day or week pigeons return days months and years later for all sort of different reasons the only thing is we will never know why.

look at the returns from young bird races so far diabolicle because at least 70% arnt well........ and those that say they have loads missing ask them when was the last time they treated for anything...... and the ones who have good returns ask them the same . you need to treat wether you like it or not.............................................!
  24. HI the youngsters should select themselves.......... if not you aint trying them, just the youngsters selecting you ??????????? think about it
  25. saw the lib birds not clear well due to south wind , local birds from south were doing 70mph.
