  1. bigda the line 52.20 is the north line,, it means you can't go above this line,, where would you get a figure like this,, who has suggested this figure,, If the national has not been set up yet how can they decide a line to race below.. surely the commitee decides this.. or even the members.. goodluck to the new national.. I have heard they will have sections also.. be interesting where the lines are drawn for each section.. There is a lot of things to be sorted .. happy new year to all ant
  2. sorry it isn't correct the first pic,,, the line is higher up.. about mid wales,, but as no one fly's there it doesn't allow any one else in..lol.. here is 52.20.. best of luck ant

  15. mark welcome,, top site with many fanciers willing to help.. enjoy.. ant
  16. I have just been talking to mark and he is a good friend of keith,, but mark only has 1 bird off keith in his loft and its from a hen he gave keith. keith is warwickshire fed sprint champion 2007 and mark is warwickshire fed channel champion 2007.. these lofts fly differently and have no influence over each other.. one is a spinter and one a channel flyer.. they have the greatest respect for each other and both have super birds with results to match.. Mark is only interested in channel racing and loves these races.. the birds he has excel at these distances too.. if you ever get the invite jump at it.. you will remember for a very long time.. a top bloke aswell.. here are one of the pairs he will be breeding from in 2009.. the lofts,, mark croker you might be getting one from these you never know,, enjoy the birds.. goodluck all for 2009 ant
  17. I didn't see any of keiths birds there but I mightbe wrong,, he had some class belgium bred birds there,, a good few retired racers.. he bought them as young ones to race and then retired them when they proved their quality.. he has one direct from kleine dirk.. serious birds and a very nice bloke,, These would grace any loft,, his selection process has got rid of the weak and unbalenced so all the hard work has been done,, birds are top class and all handle superb.. have a look at his web site,, he has just added some stock birds to the list.. get in boys before he closes the order book. ant
  18. I was there last weekend,, top class birds and a true gentleman.. the best of luck ,, they will do you proud.. ant
  19. we do the same as phil,, what we do is build breeze block pillers and then buy railway sleepers.. the loft sits on them.. the sleepers are normally 8ft,, so the loft is 6ft and then we add a 3ft aviery to it.We do need some small timber to support the end of the aviery.. . the railway sleepers will last forever and don't cost the earth.. I think we paid 9 each for ours,, but a bit more now I expect.. this loft is on 5 railway sleepers.. been there for 6 years and many more we hope..You can see the thickness of the sleeper behind the well and wheel barrow.. goodluck ant
  20. sounds bad.. get them tested asap.. but don't just let them get worst,, some natural things,, cider vinegar in water,, yogart on food ... they need treatment .. be careful what fanciers post ,, defra are clamping down on fanciers using un prescribed drugs.. do as we do go to a vet and get all the products needed for the illness from them.. the best of luck ant
  21. october for us is about getting the birds through their moult.. the darkness young birds are now falling apart and they are having 2 baths a week and plenty of oil and seed to eat.. all the stock are parted and are living in avieries until december regardless of the weather.. our lofts will be sprayed in november and all the nest bowls cleaned with bleach.. we are now trying to sort out the breeding pairs,, they will be paired on the 10th december.. We have allready converted one small loft from a racing loft to a distance stock loft.. this will house 7 pairs of distance birds.. the young from here will have an easy ride until 2 years old then they will get the full treatment.. goodluck all have a great moult and breeding ant
  22. very nice tel.. same type as mine,, but ours only go to 350 miles ,, they struggle after that.. hessian pallet - old lines - van reet double g/son of red daniel pallet pallet we have found these van reets to be our best lines over the last 5 years.. we have 7 fed winners at stock and all their parents aswell.. there is no name that is better than any other,, there are good mardons and bad mardons,, all the families have good and bad in them.. ant
  23. I have a top preditor here,, this dog can kill staffs and rotwiellers,, no worries,, he won't hurt a thing but will make you aware they are about ,, you then get them yourself..lol.. the way they kill the staff and rottie is by sticking in their throat when being eaten..lmao.. we had a jack russel here,, killed 3 bloody birds.. had to go.. but if taught from an early age they should be ok,, but they do like blood..lol ant
  24. oh we did have a few more in the result aswell....lol.. so 1,2,3,4,5,8,9,28th fed 2411 birds.. made the season,, we were on a high for weeks afterwards.. Paul them young ones that had a race last week should be spot on for next year.. the very best of luck,, goodluck ant
  25. paul I think europa have said they will race from carlisle next year as their final race,, I do feel a lillers would be an ideal final race to cardiff, paul is the national going with the wnr,, or the combine,, very interesting times ahead.. back to the question.. our best result this year was 1,2,3,4,5 fed from 2400 birds.. lady luck was looking out for us that day..lol.. goodluck ant
