  1. Gladdo ......it might be better if some let you down as all you will have is a mish mash of birds all shapes & sizes ....I'm not saying they will be crap ....but it's best to have a type (size, balance, shape)of pigeon then you can race them & any you have left should knit together nicely when it comes to breeding next season's young birds......my opinion
  2. In 2001 I had the good fortune to enter a nest pair of cocks into the first ever UK chatrace flowen from Maidstone - Sunderland & was 1st & 5th ....so I'd obviously say cocks
  3. As some will know My son & I are just starting back up .....but we have some cracking birds on loan right now but for one season only to get a team of yb's to start with but we have them for the whole year ......later on say may /june time we would be only too happy to breed 2 yb's from the same or two different pairs ....we will put up pics of the pairs with some details about them & also photo's of the type of yb's they breed....we hope this is ok
  4. Jack, is that eye clusters on a couple of your birds .....if so wnat importance do you attach to this if any? stevie
  5. Jack, after having a look at the birds in our loft I have to say the hens ahve the better eyes in the loft with 3 hens having real good eyes ....the cocks are a wee bit of a let down ....two are bull eyed & the rest have full eyes ...I have to say at this point I only have these birds on loan to breed a team of yb's as we are just starting back in the sport. any suggestions ? Stevie

The hen has the better breeding eye than the cock the cok has a good racing eye ....but it's only one part of the bird, the rest must be sound as well.

The cock I reckon will be a good racer but should be paired with a hen with a heavier eye in the Iris. just my opinion :
