  1. Harry the "National" you were 2nd in how many birds were sent ? By the way if it had been in the S"N"FC I would also have put the inverted commas ....as I think both bodies now have a cheek calling themselves Nationals, mind you the S"N"FC have more right than the S"N"RPC as they were the originals ....but now has been diluted. I will not be joining any of the above mentioned bodies as I feel both are frauds one through choice & one though circumstance.

  7. Hi all, when I was last in the pigeons I was in the SNFC for a few years, but found it very hard to compete, even at the yb national when my young birds at club level were doing great & also getting in the fed. Do the PB members think that the SNFC is suited to fanciers flying into the real west of scotland. And does any think the sections could do with looking at as some of the towns I see on the west section result are more central than west ....my opinion is that if I want to do anything in the National I need a strong east wind Galeforce probably or to move it's got nowt do do with the birds not being good enough it's all about loft position thats where the real advantage lies. (evil)
  8. all the best for the season ...well done Ted

  21. I think that early bred yb's should be trained early ...but not this early well not up here in Scotland it's to cold to train old birds never mind yb's ....but early bred yb's should get trained well before yb racing starts .... I think this is why 2nd round yb's out perform 1st round yb's that have been on dark .....1st rounders get to do mostly what the want for 5 months then are worked they need work earlier ...but most fanciers are old bird minded & can't be fecked training yb's at the same time.... my opinion
  22. Some mates they should be encouraging new starters not fleecing them. The best birds you'll ever get are free birds .....from Genuine fanciers ....these are what I call DOOMEN
  23. Sammy some of my best birds were Blue .....but I had it drummed into them that they were Celtic fans
  24. I remember years ago a lad in Kilmarnock had his hut roof blown off, & had too basket his very small team of birds, two pair were sitting eggs when this happened, he moved the eggs & pairs into two seperate baskets & they sat the eggs in the baskets ...once the loft was fixed he put the baskets in the loft till they had hatched & weaned....now that's what I call basket training ....
