2 tosses 5mls 20mls flag round loft, feed high carb diet in morning ,watch them fly ,increase flag by 5mins a day ,had my ybirds flying upto 2hrs by thursday night ,loads o protien friday peanuts etc ,they balloon up and are fully hydrated,no need to road work !!
-
breed a few of the trusted birds single up only as ybirds anywhere you go get them up ,they will go anywhere after that ,i had a one this year scored at marlbourgh sent flown cleremont 540mls won the yearling cup in club never wasted as ybird only singled ,bred the right way though,no need to breed many !

yes you have answered one of the questions asked earlier you must be at the top of your game .your quote loft full o pigeons?RACED OR NOT?. DONT WORRY about ma doos wether there fast or slow that is no concern to me or others just relise or not that west route flying birds are gauntlet fed, to at the decision of ilinformed fanciers i can say thru personal interest and trusted advise from powers at be that the so called liars quoted earlier this route is not at our birds interest ! happy new yearjmo

/what was your longest race point and where?with your ybirds
-
most birds are lost not thru been eaten by bop but are sent unconditioned and unprepaired ,talk to any fancier at the top of there game and ask how there returns are, and you will soon relise that there husbandry with there teams seams to have the anwswer to returns ,the discussion was about avoiding populated areas and not a blaming a culture
-
just for any western route fanciers that do not have a clue that cumbria is on the west side of the country ,and after reading that it 1has been known by some time by keen twitchers and there like ,most heavely populated area for raptors quote.fact as the old song goes whos sorry now!
-
superb alex!!! that was put superbly ,pity tooshy boy! was not so factual!!

Peregrines are widespread in the UK through the western part of England, and in Wales, Scotland and Ireland. In southeast and east England they are found on a small number of isolated sites, though their range is slowly spreading. They reach their highest densities in upland areas of Wales, southern Scotland and northwest England. The UK population was estimated at 1,400 pairs in 2002. this was taken from rspb web site ,who wants to fly west route?

yes yes yes ,every good bird carries a unique face ,the size and shape and most of all something about it that can only be learned by years of seeing different birds ,you have to try and study all types of birds to make reference ,short and long distance to see the signs some fanciers never notice and some are very good ,i suppose it is all down to keen observation, but yes they are very different from middle of the road types, study birds of great achievments and learn.

we are not forced ,we just go with the majority ,i myself when was told about us going east, thought well that will be different , have no dissolutions about race routes no matter what happens when it comes to the races most of us like to excell at ,flying out of the borders make s no differnce my own birds for these races wont be started till 180mls your very right about the inland national it done us no favours ,but remember it is only a stepping stone for greater races ahead!
-
lets not kid ourselves on here they are everywhere,in every town and city ,this is not a debate on pob nos but suitability of race points, going west route for our birds would seem the right thing to do!say the shortist distace between two points is a straight line ! ok .if that were true. in pigeon racing every liberation has a different route generally all going the same way but ,depending on wind etc every race will be different time etc all we all should wish for in any race should be good times and returns!avoiding any problematic races should always be my proirity, stay away from black spots and keep them safe ,as for national results ,never in the history in my cub say at least the last 25 years or so has there been so many national results , a fact.ask any member who reguraly goes, all threw common sense and being transported together has this occured ,no where in scotland has such a fed started to lift there results at this level of racing as ayrshire, fact !
-
i dont think any decent fancier would disagree that the more the better when it comes to liberation day,i would have every fed in our area together if where possible ,im trying not to forget the real issue here, staying clear of real black spot race points ,yes it is a well known fact that bop nos are higher in the west something that i cammeron of lincoln ex ayrshire fancier spent a lot of time investigating for us in ayrshire a few years back ,i do think we all know that the safety of our birds is paramount and not personal agendas to suit the minorty which is sadly open in our sport in all levels of competition, our federation has never seen national results in these nos for many a year only emphasising that big liberations do work ,we cant take steps back and try and go alone !!
-
i fully support the idea of catching the west route further down the road, personally anything over 200mls wont make one bit o difference whether east or west there is no advantage, althought where wind direction comes to favour now thats another debate!
-
we change route a few years back ,couild be about 10 now ,becouse o heavy losses early doors threw massive peregrine strikes witnessed by border fed fanciers, they were costantly returning birds back up to us ,exspecially y birds ,the birds could not even get a chance to clear!couple years ago we tried locharbriggs again and was a disaster,i never sent myself, keeping clear o that area is the only answer
-
the only drawback with going with the big fed in early races would be the total drag o birds to east side of our fed ,after 200mls it would be nae problem

12 7 and 1
