  1. I was looking around on the forum and found chat about instance, there one thing I did not see. when loft flying my pigeons I notice when other pigeons come around and join up with mine they don't stay together long then they go there own way. They must know by instance that they are not loft mates.
  2. Nice birds, also like the avairy in the back ground. Ed

  7. Yes I agree 100%
  8. someone I know told me that years ago they us to put countermarks on the birds and send them off, when the bird got back to your loft, you would get the number off the countermark and call the club house and let them know that this bird is home. no one knows the number on the countermark until the bird got home. why not do this today,it would cost a hold lot less.
  9. I have 13 late breeds, will it afect them if I wait until January before I start loft flying them because of so many hawks right now.

  11. I dont know what causes flyaways, when I first started I had one fly away from my young team, now all I do is let the old birds train the young ones around the loft, have not lost a bird yet. it takes us to teach our kids right from wrong, and the way of life. MOTHER NATURE does the same, just my thoughts. Ed

  13. This is my first winter with mine team, I fly them one bye one around the loft, they use to fly in tight circles around the loft but now with the hawks around they travel in all direction a mile or so, leading them hawks away from there home. grate instints would you think? Ed

  17. mostly coopers hawk, but also some sharp shinned hawks, it hard to tell the diffrents from one or the other. they sneak around in the trees so its hard to tell when they are near the loft. older birds have no problem escapeing these hawks it the late breeds I worry about. Ed

I also have some late breeds that I will not be able to train around the loft because that is really hard to do with all the hawks around. we start flying old birds in March, will the hawks be going bye then? are is there a way to train late breeds this time of year?
