Not racing next year so reducing stock Jan Aarden Chq Pied Cock 09 bird full brother to Tumley Lofts Stud Miss Wilson. This cock bred my 2 entries in the 2010 Somerset Lofts One Loft Race., both flew the hard!! programme right through to Brussels. 1 took 14th and the other homed some time later – the Brussels race was a disaster and there can’t be many who had all their entries from that race. Both these birds are now my mate’s stock loft. £150 plus carriage The Dam to the 2 that flew Brussels above is also available she is a 04 bird and a double grand daughter of Invincible Spirit. Due to her age I would take £200 for the pair plus carriage

I can see where 'loftman's' thinking is coming from, warm air rises and becomes trapped at highest point in the loft ... But i guess the loft is in Glasgow and its pretty cold at the mo ? with the amount of open space on your loft I cant work out how the air is even getting hot enough to rise to the roof. You should be trying to create a gentle air flow through the loft yours is just open to the elements. To create a gentle air flow cover the whole front of the loft but leave a 2 inch gap along the top. Cold air will then enter via the back and fall to the floor creating air flow which will replace the warm air that has exited via the gap at the highest point in the roof space at the front.

The pair of Leen Boers have been SOLD Sorry for the lack of photographs but the snow amd ice make it particularly difficult for me to get to the loft. For those looking for sprint/Roland Janssens you would be more than happy with the LOT i have advertised. They more than hold their own with others I have seen advertised.

I have decided to concentrate on Distance Racing so offer the following birds for sale. In my opinion these are class birds which are well balanced with good feather quality, pictures as soon as weather permits. Roland Janssens Only back in the sport 18 months I have only trained the offspring and raced to 100 mile. Some of the offspring have been tested in Breeder Buyers and RPRA one loft races where they have held their own, see below. White Cock Sire of: • West Wales Federation 2009 BB winner which also featuring in the National result. • RPRA 2010 one loft entry ‘Bychan Lofts’ which has now been entered for the RPRA 2011 ylg race. Red Pied Hen 09 (gdtr Diamond White) Dam of: • RPRA 2010 one loft entry ‘Bychan Lofts’ which has now been entered for the RPRA 2011 ylg race. Red Pied Cock GB 2010 E 235?? Son of White Cock and Red Pied Hen above, full brother to: • RPRA 2010 one loft entry ‘Bychan Lofts’ which has now been entered for the RPRA 2011 ylg race. Trained and raced. White Hen WHU 2009 T 012?? Dtr of White Cock above x Janssen, full sister to: • West Wales Federation 2009 BB winner also featuring in the National result. • Half sister to Red Pied Cock GB 2010 E 235?? Trained and raced as yb and ylg. Would prefer to sell as a lot as I believe these birds could form the basis of a family. £320 for the 4 plus carriage. Leen Boers Again similar to the Roland Janssens I have only trained and raced offspring to 100 miles. As part of a syndicate I entered 1 yb – ‘Bychan Harley’- bred from this pair into the 2010 Sun City Million Dollar Race, its still there, so this maybe an opportunity to purchase the parents of the winner!! ;-) Bl Cock 09 – from the best of Tumley Lofts Bl P Hen 09 – from the best of Tumley Lofts £150 for the pair plus carriage

So 50% overhead per bird hmmm I wonder who will end up covering that, guess there will be more yb's from "Jos Thone stock" available next year than Jos could have bred himself!
-
Guess the Tax Man is happy too, 20% Tax on top of the winning bid!!!
-
Is it pure Whites you want, are they for racing ?
-
look back in the BHW about 2 to 3 weeks ago. Mike Owen from Cymmer near Port Talbot South Wales was advertising birds for sale, Mike flew the Barkers quite successfully
-
Depends on how soon the birds mature, some strains mature quicker than others and will therefore pair up sooner. You need keep an eye on those that do pair-up and hatch yb tho as rearing takes it out of them, they are still young themselves.

Hi am interested in the Grizzles you have, what distances are you competing them to and, what level of success have you had with them. My reason for asking is that I am currently, will be 4th generation yb's this coming season, blending the offspring of my good Roland Janssens Bl Grizzle hen with federation wining SVR, Janssen bloodlines and my Jan Aardens. With the intention of developing a 450 - 500 mile on the day family of mainly Bl grizzles, well thats the hope! Maybe we could exchange some yb's to our mutual benefit ?
