i think most water companys use Chloramine nowadays, as it doesn't disapate from the water like chorline

so what do most fanciers do? just feed layers to birds whilst feeding young or mix it with the corn? or feed as a mix or on its own when young birds are weaned? soupie btw my 1st young bird reared since i returned to the sport went out and in the trap today i only have 2 cock birds broke to my loft already so was a bit nervous but i was like a kid with a new toy when he came back in

Hi lads I'm getting tortured by 3 cats so think il invest in a fence. I've been on the countrystore site but not sure which one to buy (chickens,rabbits,badgers,pigs etc) i've only got a small yard so could someone point out which fence would be best please. soupie

well lads the 2 hens went in and out the trap a couple of times, then flew very high in the sky. my cheq hen came back to the roof a half hour later, stayed for 20 mins and then went. seen my mealy hen flying over the roof then she went again so they both had a nite on the roofs the mealy went back to her old loft this morn and i have her back now. my cheq hen was on her old loft's roof last nite but aint been seen since. hope she turns up today. i'll try again next saturday (work stops me doing it during the week) I probably should've tried the pair wiht the chick 1st as IB suggested soupie P.S was brilliant watching my birds flying around the house - can't wait to my young birds start going in and out

So after a break in the sport of 17 years I'm going to try and break a couple of birds tomorrow. I only have 9 birds (all gifted by local fanciers), 3 pair on eggs and i pair with a 2 week old chick. Think I'll try 2 late bred hens 1st, going to lock all others up and just open the trap and see what happens. I want to try and have an older bird going out and in before my chick starts flying. soupie

I only got my birds around november so had them all in the same section together. I just let them do their own thing. I have a 2 week old chick and another 2 hens have just laid this week. only have 4 pairs btw soupie

I think most waters companies now use chloramine (sp) which doesn't disapate from the water. I used to let the water stand years ago for my tropical fish but now use stuff to remove the chloramines/chorlide. soupie

I can assure you I'm not a spammer but if your after Viagra I should be able to get a few for you haha I kept pigeons from the age of 8 until i went to uni at 18. loved the channel racing.I'm from northern ireland btw 17 years later i'm thinking of starting back up. Loved the birds when i had them. just doing a bit of research at the minute on whats changed in the time i've been out of birds as far as loft and box/perch design and things like that. I know if i visit some of the local men they will probably be throwing birds at me so to say. gonna take my time getting everything ready before i get the birds. but cant wait really.
