A little off topic but regards breaking race birds - When I finished racing last year, after selling a few of them (never kept stock birds) there were 16 left all raced. So my granddad took them off me. He lives 20 miles in front of me. He kept them in from Sept last year, after rearing a round of youngsters this year, about mid Feb he opened the dors one day and let them all out with his. 3 came back to my loft. i returned these to him and 2 came back again, on this occasion i scared them off and they went straight back to him. Upto last Friday he had 16 out of 16 after some hard training. This last Sat he sent 10 of them to thier first race for him. The line of flight and the clubs that send in his fed are close to me. 2 returned here to me. after 20 mins these then took off and went back to his. He has had 9 out of the 10 upto this evening. 4 of them were back at his loft within 5 mins of his 1st arival. They must be really happy at his place as these birds had won for me (some are 3 year olds), and to still have this many after so much training and now a race is good going in my books.

Clock Checking Rules?
Geraint Parry replied to Geraint Parry's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
Thanks Rose, someone asked me the question and I wasn't to sure. So thought i'd ask. With post on this site like the above , its a wonder people actually post questions on this site. -
Hi, does anyone know the RPRA ruling on clock checking? Do the clocks have to be checked / struck on day of timing or can they be checked the following day? I can't find a RPRA ruling on this. Thanks in advance

spend the money if you want, but sometimes you may just get egg on your face might as well give the cash to a charity. some people are in this just for the cash, good luck to them, but like i say you can't buy a race.

I won a National with a bird gifted to me. + the best birds i ever had cost me £25 each one year i bought 12 the next year i was gifted the same birds and took it from there. to be at the top you DO NOT need to splash the cash

Happy Birthday north wales novice -
The route that was propossed was on the South East line. We fly this route at club, fed and National level. but i am affraid south road fliers would send to this race once maybe , and would have one heck of a shock , r.e. returns etc, its not a easy route. What is the size of Belgium? Bigger than Wales? the problem with the UK is all the polotics. You get them at club level, fed level and National level. The Welsh South East National races along with the Combine and liberates the bird together, but because of the polotics a few small clubs in North East Wales can't get into the combine when 99.99% of Wales can. Why because they are scared of getting beat. When I won the National a few years back , there were 5,000+ birds flying in the national and 10,000 + in the combine, but because they wont let us in the combie I could only claim 1st National, when the fancier that topped the combine 10,000+ birds was in fact about 6th , 7th National. Now if this isn't giving a false result what is??? Polotics is one of the reasons I finished with the birds last year. It's like banging your head against a brick wall. We have 2 feds in North Wales. going on the same day to the same race point, but they won't get their heads together and sort things out, why because they are scared of getting beat. One of the feds is in the Combine I was talking about but they won't let the 3 clubs on the front end join their Fed. There was even talk of them wanting a new Section in the WSENFC a North West Section, its a joke......i'll stop rambling on now.............

Welsh National???? Wales is a country??
-
Not 100% but I don't think this is the case. As there are 2 National Clubs in Wales. North Wales WHU rings are normally 'D' rings , individuals members (members who send for thier own are generaly 'T' rung. Hope this helps.
