Personally i think the allotment idea is a great idea, when I first started it took me ages to persuade my missus to have the doos at my house meanwhile I was trying to get into allotments at Cambuslang which was told no room and then the same at Blantyre luckily for me I got the doos at my house but how many people dont get the chance at there house or have thought about it but its a non starter because there isn't any room in the allotments
