hi found it here it is? As at Monday 30th January the current situation is thus; France - no racing permitted by the French authorities, even for their own fanciers at present. We have offered our assistance to the FCF by way of forwarding the veterinary advice that secured our racing. Ireland – Same conditions apply as per the UK, i.e. under licence arrangements. Jersey - consultations are ongoing but it may be possible to race back to the UK and for Jersey fanciers to race from the UK. The Jersey authorities has not approved racing from Spain or France. We are currently looking for a liberation site on Jersey. Guernsey – consultations ongoing but looking promising for Guernsey to UK. The situation for Guernsey fanciers is a little more unclear and, like Jersey, it appears that racing from France is not an early option. I am in contact with the Guernsey Government and will advise when I have more news. Spain – awaiting response from the Spanish Federation. Belgium – awaiting response from the Belgium Federation but early indications look promising. The latest fly in the ointment is the outbreak of AI in Cyprus. I will be attending a further meeting at DEFRA on 1 Feb 06 and will report back next week if there is any update. Changing Route If your organisation decides to change route i.e. SR to NR then you should advise your Region Secretary. Licence Arrangements – Advising DEFRA Area Health Offices of Liberations You will have seen that one of the licence conditions for racing in the UK is that organisations must advise the DEFRA Area Heath Office in the region that they are liberating at least 14 days prior to liberation. After consultation with the RPRA President I think it is appropriate that we at the Reddings should carry out this task for RPRA affiliated organisations. We will need to appraise DEFRA of the appointed contact within the organisation so, unless we hear to the contrary, we will use the race controller on the race programme. sbelin, sounds like he either had them too hungry or on a nest, ive tried both these and yes they fly and trap there hearts out but i too found they were never quite as good as yrlings, but well fed fit darkness youngsters will win and win well and still be just as good as yrlings.

hi all, ive not had time to read all posts so im unsure if this has been mentioned, i had repeat trouble with lice and after trying the sprays and the drops i found they were a quick fix remedy, then i was told by a famous partnership in my area to try filling the bath/or bucket with hot water and put 1/2 a bottle of duramitex in in it, once its cooled dip each and every bird in it up to the neck then put them back into the loft, for an hour the birds look terrible whilst wet but when checked 4-5 days later not a louse in sight!

HI WESTY, IF YOU WANT TO RACE YOUR YBS AND WIN WITH THEM LATER ON YOU WILL NEED TO TRY RACING THEM ON DARKNESS, ITS UP TO YOU, TRY SAY 10 ON DARK AND LEAVE THE REST TO HAVE A NATURAL MOULT (NATURAL). IF YOU'D PREFER TO JUST TO RACETHE EARLY RACES, SAY THE 1ST -4TH RACE THEY CAN AND SHOULD STILL WIN THESE, LIKE CARTER SAYS DONT OVER FEED, BUT I THINK THIS ONLY MATTERS WHEN RACING, ONCE WEENED I GIVE MY YBS 1 1/2 OZ PER BIRD PER DAY, THEN SAY 2 WEEKS B4 THE 1ST RACE CUT IT DOWN TO 1 1/4 OZ, THIS WILL GET THE FAT OFF THEM AND GET THEM FLYING BETTER, IF I CAN HELP YOU IN ANY OTHER WAY P.M ME, HOPE THIS HELPS...

hyacynths i think has the best idea, safflour or shelled sunflower seeds has near the same content as peanuts, as ive read of problems feeding peanuts although ive not personally experienced them myself. But pigeons do love peanuts!!
