  2. North Thames North Road Combine up 8:50 at Berwick, easterly wind.
  3. depends if you fly downhill on the south or uphill on the north ;D Personally I'd call up to 200 sprint, 200 - 450 mid distance, 450 and over long.

    Any libs ?

I'm with the Thames Valley up with LNRC, and I was given a Light South West wind.
  15. Dunstable/Luton at 8:30 no clouds, nice blue sky, fresh east wind breeze, fairly strong at times. Sun just coming up.
  16. Yep..I use address split rings, they are much better then stamping, and you do seem to get more reported, especially from non flyer's.
  17. Maybe I aint very bright..but why might that stop channel racing ??..I'm a north roader so it won affect me.
  18. The only reasons I can see me totally getting rid of them is either if I moved or health reasons...I stopped racing for 10 years because of work, but I still kept them

    Stock birds

I will vaccinate all my birds this year. Haven't vaccinated for a few years because of being North road, like most of my club. But we had a bad outbreak of paramyxo and it is not good. Lost nearly all my yb's or had to kill them, even ones I bought, I was extremely p***ed of with myself because I feel I let them down by not vaccinating. I would now advise anyone to vaccinate all their birds now. Its a case of always thinking it happens to other people, its a nightmare of a disease
  20. Hope its a good week end for all that go..I haven't been since I've been back in racing.
  21. They are a name from the past...used to be good long distance birds from Ipswich. I had some in the 70's, do you have them ?

I was going to post similar to this after reading the first post, I think people should start training YB's earlier because of the early breeding now practised. Even if they get them to 30 miles then cut down the training until a couple weeks before racing.
  23. I doubt that would stand up to scrutiny in a court of law let alone by a union. Reading the Fife feds news report and comments on here, seems to me its a 'rule' pushed through by a minority for a minority. I wouldn't pay it, which would mean it'd have to go to the union for a decision, Are there a lot of people against it ?
  24. What does it work out per bird for 20 birds ??
  25. Not only is it illegal, but shouldn't have been discussed at an AGM. You don't have AOB at an AGM and the only things that should be discussed and voted on at an AGM is whats on the Agenda. But generally there should be a general meeting after the AGM where other things can be discussed. But when something important comes up a good chairman should call another meeting with the item on an agenda so everyone has a chance to think about it, discuss and vote on it. But we all know there's a lot of people that like making up things as they go along.
