After watching many batches of birds racing through Moffat last week some with 100's of birds Having spoken to a friend he said many batches came back South about an hour later Also fanciers at marking station tonight commented on this A lad from town who commutes to London from glasgow each day on the shuttle service took a photo from the window last night as the plane flew over Moffat and just to the north I counted just on the one photo 70 plus turbines in that small catchment there are many many more Whilst attending a cousins funeral today at Elvanfoot the vastness covered by the turbines is plain to see Surely this must also be a major obstacle when birds are flying into a North wind and at there level Read a report in America how birds were being slaughtered trying to work through them ?
