Hello Gareth ,do think and it is just a personal opinion, that if lanarkshire were to race the west route even joining up with solway further down that birds would put up better performances from nationals as they would be coming on line ,but it would be at a price mate ,as for yb would have to go in large numbers to influence drag ,as it is just now we also have very slow times just not got the numbers omo .

Will be 100 as norm now, by the time they have been educated losses have already occurred when racing starts we can loose twenty plus healthy birds per race from the shap fells only playing the percentages , gone are the days when i reared 30 and was left with 24 that had raced the programme .

Good point andy ,years ago when the national was sending seven and half thousand to gold cup ,all sections were doing well as all were sending large convoys weekly and getting distance on birds , now because of serious b o p problem our convoy is being halved weekly ,and yes the b o p lovers have a breeding programme in place to saturate the east route with falcons because of the food source ,they are really f--- sad .

Hello john sent one of your old doos back up safely to you few years past , if memory serves me right think it was black or dark w f may still have number somewhere ,maybe get chance to help your youngsters on there way if they call all best for next year .

Was very wet here in Moffat,hills now clearing blue sky broken cloud

Started season with 66 ,ended with sixteen ,two of which are away to national tonight, That was after two sticky races in shap fells ,Very happy with ones that are left, They have raced out to 180 miles and faced hills . If you live and race pigeons in this area you have to accept losses .

About one forty away from section A sent two ,GOOD LUCK ALL .

Hello TOOSHY BOY Just had same happen tonight Came home from work let youngsters that have been racing out for last fly before national All went well , fed them in Then let youngsters out that are only being trained Peregrine hen appeared put them onto house roof three came in with loft lights on , three on roof for night four taken of into heavens now pitch black , thats ta ta to them You are right really p-- you off Does make you wonder if it is worth all the effort
