Sammy, I could have put it like this then mate, the plastic owl has a 5 foot strap of wood up its jackson. ;D ;D ;D ;D

If its no broken, dinny fix it. Also when its windy, the owl moves slightley, so this helps as well i think. All small things help with these problems around yer huts.

Les, Am oot the back all the time when the birds are oot mate, very seldom am in the hoose, i have a pair of crows who are local, again this also helps. Am no going to take it down for to see if the hawk is about, am no wonting it here at ma place.

I have had a plastic owl erected on my avery for a few years now, i took it down one day to get the hut painted, the stock birds were out in the avery at the time, i came in the house for a cup, heard all the fluttering from the stock doos, looked out the window and the hen was sitting on top of the avery looking in at the birds. The owl was put back up, and touch wood i havent seen it since, i also have the radio playing when the birds are out, dont no if that makes any difference or not, but havent had any problems so far, so there is something working.

Brian, The Fife Federation cant afford to loose any more members mate, and if this goes ahead, i think you will be looseing a few more, i for one dont wont to see that.

Ecky boy, am no tight with the lolly pop, you must have a few bob to fling around, pay mine if it gets passed then, Archie, you are right, if the fed needs money then the members have to pay, am all for that.

How many members doo you no, send 10 birds, very little, so yer sums are incorrect. Back to the drawing board and get some more realistic figures for me.

Ave always supported the fed in any way, but when you here about guys going to finish up because they have to pay this large amount of money, doo you think this is the right way forward like. Tell me something then, doo they need the money ?

Ecky, as Brian says, this was tried last time and get voted of, so it will be brought up this year again and i think this will get the same vote, as last time. I would not like to see members packing in etc, due to this getting passed, the federation cant afford to loose any more members, we are sitting at just under the 200 mark, 5 years how many members were in the fed ????? In my case, why should i have to pay the £150 to race pigeons due to my work pattern i only get a few races, so i am happy to pay for the racing i get. Does the fed really need the money, NO, looking at the balance sheet they sent out, they have got money, so why the massive increase this year.
