Hi JAM I intend to attend a couple of sales/auctions when down at Blackpool, will be interested to see what kind of money changes hands, considering the current financial climate. some of those selling may be in for a shock, as I believe the money is not out there as it was in years gone by. I would like to make comment on people who bid for birds and then do not pay for them, With Help The Heroes auction due to start, I believe that if anyone bids for one of these birds, with no intention of paying, he/she should be banned from the site, as this would be an insult to our HEROES who put their lives on the line every day for us. Hi John, I think this season will see a number of fanciers taking a serious look at the sport and making the decision whether to continue or call it a day, because as you have suggested ETS rings may increase, with fuel rising constantly, no doubt this will have a knock on effect to the cost of being part of this sport. Quite a lot of Clubs, Feds and Nationals are loosing membership, and this also results in costs going up for those that remain, I am fortunate to say I am a working man, but it is the OAP,s and unemployed that I fear for.

Hi Wull as Fifer stated I also have them, we obtained them the first time Raymond had a stall at Blackpool, and have strengthened our stock each year since then, I had 2 hens, a 3year old and a 2 year old at Clermont last year 524 miles, got the 3year old next morning and the 2 year old later that night.
