Well I see this topic died a naturual lamented death eh! No one suggest, a plan, not one hand ups, even a serious proposal of how and when, let alone why 'Change'. Just where are all these would be 'Go getters' the Hooray hollar boys that want Change etc! Tell you what it is a blumming good job Karen doesn't have to rely on these great supporters for her Job or livelyhood. Yes I believe, trust me, that arm chair voting will be the norm and as far as that will go. I'd wager further that Karen, knows that. No wonder she is tight lipped at the moment and certainly isn't going to relate to members in regards of their help. Would You! No she's not daft as you all rightly say.

Can't decipher your Gist there Chris. Rose we are a little long in the tooth. I have seen outcries, and uproars galore... only once actually seen any thing done about, especially via the members... Dave Allen, and that were done privately. We have both seen the new Messiahs emerge, and those that actually do get in office quickly fall in line and bow caw. If any one can tell me I'm wrong squeak up. I fought a case (first one) back in 1986, the Secretary packed up, and folded the club. was my very first year, I spent 2 years battling with East MIDLANDS, and the end product was, He is right. So he sold everything off, and kept the money. RPRA then says... So! Nowt we can do about that.... see a solicitor. Best of all is, that the NEW president helped our case and told us we were 100% right…. Then led them in them to defeat us! Next, a club I join, where a fellow goes to the States... was secretary too... does the same, gives the North Road THE cups and trophies etc to the South Rd. Club etc. I challenged it, no one wanted to know, so he has ready wrote and Folded the club. Always the Same RPRA say their' hands are tied, and set about disfellowshipping members for least infringements. So ALL the members have a gripe. Thoses of us that act are less than 1%… by far in the minority. So every season around this time (The silly Season) they phone and moan around and say what they want, what the will propose etc. Mugging here used to take up the cause and left with crap falling on me. They just sit there and deny everything and say they never said, and I must have got hold of the wrong end of the stick! So I challenge then - well use to - and spout as it is on the agenda we will discuss it... they don't back it! Now already too busy making bullets for their next whinge for some one else to fire. And the beat goes on. What my posts, topics are about is 'Who will actually stand up and be counted when IN the position to speak, and THEN to vote for change.... Seem very few if any. and yet still week in and week out we will have the same ole balony spouted... struth no wonder thing never get done, let alone changed.

Well I don't see much of that Chris. Indeed I personally don't see that Karen has done much at all ... except to emphasise once again what we all know... That Arm chair voices alone stand. Cant see anything whatsoever that doesn't bring home the reality... that after all the shams and backing and championing a cause EVERYTHING will be eactly as it las last week, Year yesteryear. Ok karen may have lost her job... ole hat that will be too in a couple of weeks or so. I'd love to be 'Stood Corrected' but there will be very few champions soon.... Mark my words, and that is sad!

Of course Superstar. Sometimes best to let the dust settle to get a fairer and better picture. Personally I hope she still has a role to play with the RPRA. But then I hate anyone to lose their job.

As for Karen, she's a big girl now, knows a lot more about the situation than any one else... If she is as clever and as knowledgeable as one's keep spout, rest assured that she will fare out as she plans. Wouldn't say intended personally as that lends to the arguement that she has engineered these events solely to benefit her self.

Regards Merlin, and Michael J. Burden. You know, the above two gentlemen’ posts are excellent. Both highlight the realities whilst highlighting we need do in fact need change. They put elegantly into words what I have been spouting. Yes we do need change as I have too often advocated. The main problem has been - for me - to enlighten just where this needs to be done! Just changing a ship, but keeping the same system, captain and crew will result in the same, then lesser results. Until members wake up, and decide exactly what is acceptable, and will be tolerated, then what their aims are, and desires to achieve will be, and pursue, and stick to the new regime. Every thing obviously will stay DETERIATING! Indeed al the way along I have advocated exactly what the two wise gentlemen have eloquently stated. But again I must say the biggest problem must be to replace the Apathy and actually use their thoughts to good use, attend meetings and above all VOTE!

Then Chris, it is a good job that the Fossils keep the sport going just a tad longer then isn't it. Everyone on here is able to breed and get rings for next year. Everyone is able to race next year. Your right Roland everything is just hot air! lets hope that the R.P.R.A carry on the way they do eh! And sarccasm is the lowest form of witt, and certainly no need for it. Besides being no need, especially when most are on the same side doesn't that just heighten the very reason why the RPRA have been let down so badly via their members! Golly they can't even agree to agree, and when democratically elected pull together for the betterment of everyone, especially the sport! Ask most where they were when decissions, discussions were taking place and 90 odd percent say 'Didn't bother to go .... They (whoever THEY are) will do just as they please. But continue to whigne and moan. They should hae been there, and VOTED / Discussed with other members and sorted, not just leave it to the same ole tireless faces and moan more. Even having the audacity to call memeber that get voted in and try to change things, often the very things that they are moaning about!

And your solutions? Nowt you have stated hasn't been stated countless times. Costwise, realism, etc. etc. means CHANGE within. What I have a job to come to terms with are two main things. A. if members have allowed this to happen, why won't it happen to the other NEW concern? It will be run vis people. It will quickly have 'Leaders & Followers' Those that take advantage, feather own nests and swell chest for photo's, cliques etc. etc. Indeed every thing that we already have. When not in office, or starting up Moon Cheese' is often readily available. Secondarily, WHO is going to get folks off bums, subscribe names, post monetarily guarantees. Indeed where is and will the money come from. Most will without doubt 'Wait and See' and certain won't put their hand in their pockets for a promise, especially with a bird in the hand. Further without doubt having satalite concerns only ever weakens each concern. History proves everytime anything is lessen it get disgarded and / or quickly runs into some kind of hassle... and too many fold.

Only time one is envious is when they can't up house and move to the East etc. Agreed many also don't wish to, or would. But very few indeed are jealous... get a life and put that ole chestnut away. Saying that one has Location / Position is Fact, not jealousy. struth ...

meetings that haven't much in the past? Who always has, and will continue to do so? Who goes to Fed mettings - like me - though not the Rep? Who goes to regional meeting though not the rep? The last one I have to say I have as of late... But fully intend to again as of now.
