100 members join at £10 each £1000 that would send alot of letters out then more members would join till all clubs lobbied all members would be on a new database -

I actualy thought that the East coast show was an atempt to form a new union as something like that does create alot of money , but im not sure where the moneys going to only Colin Surtees would know this -

yup it could be done but it would cost to send the letters out to all the club secatarys , so if the union started online and moneys came in for membership then the letters would be paid for by the membership -

a ballot of no confidence would remove one or two but there be just as many of the jobs go to old boys then your back to square one , theres only one way to do it and i have put it there out in the open if change is wanted it has to be a complete restart -

this is exactly what i would intend , to recruit those with the talents and the fossils removed , the rules would be the same maybe worded differently and re organised so not to outright copy as im sure that could end up in court . Then when members pay there fees at club then get sent to new union a ballot form to each member which suggestion made from members the previous season then everyone would have there say power would be with the people not the few that manage to climb there -

theres no maximum nor minimum but if there money going in to the reddings then they can survive but if you form a union once it had a good membership we could all resign from the R.P.R.A then it would lose its life source OUR MONEY then the path would be clear for the new union to make this great sport into something that could be held in high esteem , and bring a nationalised approach to our sport , if you can reduce running costs in anything then it would benifit all of us not just the few -

slight problem with a internet union you need to get as many of the R.P.R.A members as possible and not everyone has access to a computer some wouldnt know how to turn it on , in order to do that you would have to charge a Joining fee , then use the initial fees to actively post to club secatarys to hand leaflets for membership till you have enough members to be reconised as a union , short cuts would be members on forums could print out forms for there own club members , and knock a few off the list -

Well i suppose you would need to clearly draw up goals that a new union would like to achieve , then create a membership , then elect deligates that are like minded . -

i dont think any changes to the way the R.P.R.A is run will have any effect , it needs to be completely started again or they revert back to running it back in the ground -

its definately time to form a new union but as i said as a shadow union then when the new union has enough members then the new union could inform that the R.P.R.A membership is no longer needed , and no doubt about it there are many skills at The Reddings that could be utilised. But to get rid of a strong union with members backing it by paying there fees would be very hard as they would have the finances to continue , to form a shadow union by creating a membership first would be the correct way to procede as then it would have a strength to grow . -

well i suppose it's hard to have a view when your practicaly are living in the pockets of your bosses and your home would be at risk , so you either put up or shut up but we are pasionate ands when we feel we have had enough ectra we have an outburst -
well had snow at Scarborough im sure its same everywhere , but has it laid anywhere ? we are lucky grounds wet so no chance of laying unless we get a ground frost first
-
tip is with avery birds you shouldnt mix hard beaked birds with soft beaked birds , so canarys and finches would work as both soft beaked , but make sure birds are aclimatised or you'l loose the lot

i cant find our old thread future of sport , however i feel that the damage within the R.P.R.A is unreversable , too many fossils anyone with any ideas are soon put to bed or cast aside as a trouble maker , there is only one way to to mend this damage and that is to start a new union from scratch , this union would however not be recognised by the R.P.R.A as a union , but if a shadow union started and gained membership then and only then would you have an alternative to the R.P.R.A , but the question would be those that just want to just send there pigeons and not get involved with the polotics join ? and we are at best a very small percentage of the fancy , if fanciers truely wanted change it could be done but not through the doors of The Reddings , as long as ex service boys are running the show the sport is in a nose dive situation , posts such as general manager should be split up and given to those with a passion for our sport , not for a golden hand shake till retirement sets in . -
