think car batterys as can easily charge them and have back up available , im glad im no longer on a allotment much harder on the allotments

as much as that keeps the pigeons in a mink or stoat or other rodent could get through the wire and if a bird stuck its head though the wire they could soon loose it to a passing cat

i think outer two nest pair middle one not outside two have downy punky heads middle one doesnt so perhaps im leaning on the middle one as other two have similaritys ( the downy heads ) but who cares either way they seem to be well reared so more important there management than there feed

bought 4 in last season all tested clear , but birds that travel in boxes get stressed ectra so should be looked after well and given electrolytes when recieved

How come every time someone buys birds in they are the source of infection to the rest of there flock ??? i think they need to look at there loft management , i have had birds from Louella and only one time did i have a problem , but now my management controls most illnesses to the point i dont need to treat , but the first stop with any ailment must be a vet test regulary keep them health and support there immunity, not depleat it with every medication going

have to agree with you , all lofts keep birds that work for them and as for a strain there just the name of the previous owner , a good bird is a good bird but strains tend to sell better than individual performers , i have birds from a few familys most have had no introductions but i know if continued id loose anything worth keeping by keeping so called pure , so my plan after this years breeding is to blend the familys i have together into my own family of birds ill have some failures and hopefully some worth putting back in but i can still say my birds are from these familys a , b , c and have been blended into that of my own
