what a load of rubbish this guy spouts , theres no problem lower down the food chain plenty of slugs and aphids moths and insects grains ectra , and set-aside by farmers , if thes bops have to come into the citys and towns and where houses are its simple the stocks of small song birds have been deminished by these bops they well may call them cats to brain wash the general public , so the only way is to have a sensative cull where rare redlist birds are located and allow game keepers and pigeon fanciers to control only when there is a problem in vacinity of there lifestock / game and poultry birds, then the song birds and birds from the red list will recover . The greatest problem is injured birds rehabilitated then re-released these birds are used to humans and dont have a natural fear about them , these shouldn't be rereleased as theres enough bops as it is . The Fact is this the cuckcoo needs to have a viable song bird nest as they dont rear there own young the only way these birds will recover is if the R.S.P.B do there job and protect song birds and not just bops , they should be ashamed at there mis management of the British song birds , because every single bird on the red list they have put them on it one by one themselves by been single minded and only caring about birds of prey , i do hope they see sense or the law is changed to turn one of the biggest mistakes medling with nature , nature needs to have ballance any one drastic change in one population of animal insect , bird or decline has drastic effects , these effects are been seen now , if remains the same then there soon be no song birds , more need for pesticides and the very thing there trying to protect will be gone , i like all birds and when there in there natural habitats and co-existing in nature as supposed to be in ballance with the supply of food , feeding bops during winter carrys through weak birds which should naturaly die , the R.S.P.B have been known to be feeding these , but they spout the birds that the bops take is natural and only take the weaker ones out its nature , then why arent bops treated the same double standards rant over , The public gets what the public wants if theres enough wanting change together we all can take a part in that change one signiture makes all the difference spread the word and there might be a chance the next generation can see the very birds we grew up with and were in abundance when we were kids , the dawn chorus may well return its never to late to address the very problem but needs doing today the time is running out for so many other speices other than bops .
