at the start of the week yes as u should have them real hungry and by Friday if ure racing Saturday it should be impossible to get them to eat so i think the answer is yes and no ;D
-
i think in this case there is no straight answer most pll say the basket tells all which is a fair point in most cases but take two pll living in one street one has mediocre birds but has a real good management system and the other has top class birds but bad management well in most cases the man with mediocre birds and a top management system will come out on top so in other wards did the best pigeon win on the day or the best prepared bird it would seem the best prepared bird i see this in a lot of cases
-
i know its a little expensive but im sure a few books of tickets or something would help but what if a bird was entered in a one loft loft take pic of bird before it goes go it in be stuck up in school also the teachers can get involved as the teacher can show the kids how to work out vecolites and other things like that and all schools have laptops so they can go on and check how there bird is going now i know a lot here dont agree with one loft races but think about it its not about the rights or wrongs of it its a way of keeping kids interested for a good while if the bird lasts a few races i bet the kids couldn't wait to get into school to see how there bird got on the weekend and the great thing about it it will be there bird with maybe the school name i think it would be be a great idea along with showing the kids the birds and answering there questions just think about it and please don't bring in the rights or wrongs of one loft races as its about getting the kids interested with kids attention spans these days i think u need something to keep there attention for more than an hour one afternoon as a week later they forget all about the visit just my thoughts

with the last few year going great with many top 10 national results this year is to try top one
-
dont know anything about it being transferable to humans id imagine so as regards it being in any uk annual statistics that would mean that u would have to tell the deportment of agriculture and to have these pll down at your door in white suits for a day and i know of no pigeon man that reports there reason for death to and department as regards time of year ive seen birds getting it any time of the year
-
im not antibiotic happy at all bu would like any info that u can find and what avian vet would not tell u after pigeons being with rats nt to do for worms cocci canker and not to do for a course of paratyphoid they would say to do this at the least it would be interesting if somehow we could get some sort of a fund together and pay a vet to come on here some night to answer questions like this say would make some pl change there mind imagine ud find them hard to find
-
like to know who the vets are and there writeings would be very intrested as all the top books ive read wriiten by vets say its a must and also the top flyres who say there old bird season was ruined by vaccinated for para and where this was said or what video would really be intresed to hear what there opioion is as i have a open mind and love to learn so please help
-
nottin goes over mine have that problem solved ;)
-
where would u get this would be intrested
-
if that the case why is it one of the biggest problems in pigeon racing today and its only strees when this comes out as in the moult or move of home or stress with racing all the top flyer's now vaccinate well if it goon enough for Davy hunt as he says it in cracked it 2 ronnie bigwoods film and many more top fliers i chat to i have seen the results since i have started to vacaite 5 losses or less in 5 years not bad at all i think
-
whats cosumix agree with your post
-
bit of a mile stone i think really have injoyed it airing differnt views hopefilly ive helped someone along the way and made ye older boys think a little :) :)
-
if im geting it right wil it just clean the water but wht will it do for the birds as i think its being stated here
-
well these birds are most likely infected all im doing advising on what virus and diseases these birds most likely have as i seen lots of cases like this and no tests as far as i know will detect para so the best treatment is a course of parastop and then vacanite really all fanicers should be doing this
-
yes but baycox is not a cure for sameomla its mostly used for cocci all im saying is there would be a huge problem caused here and the original pigeons infected as no fancier can tell if a pigeon has parathyroid for sure it only comes out when the signs of sameonla comes ie swelling joints and the rest what i would do at least is do what i said in the above post with para stop and vaccinate
-
do u know what there ingredients are
-
what are these
-
the unfortunate thing it all depends on what tests they do as some tests will not so parathyroid but will show salmonella it will depend on the test centre as as far as i can remember with parathyroid i could be wrong but i think the only test for parathyroid is a autopsy test which i think will help ure situation i could be wrong with this not 100% sure i
-
remember also parathyroid can be in birds with no visual signs what so ever ive seen birds win shows with this disease then a week or so later there showing signs of it ure whole loft cold break out with it many birds could die show no signs and u could do a cull and leave the ones that don't show any signs of the virus but the carrier could be one these birds so it will only rear it ugly head again also i think its one of the main reasons for the high amount of young bird losses i have vaccinated the last 3 year with 90% of youngsters flying the full youngbird program the last few year i think i lost 5 youngbirds in the last 3 year that includes train too and another problem is most pll vaccinate too late at 6 weeks old the right time is at weening stage ie 21 23 days some pll actually do them in the nest im not so sure about that ive read if u vaccinate early it also a help if u get the circovirus ive read they don't get it half as hard as birds that are not vaccinated against parathyroid
-
i wouldn't touch them birds with a 50ft pole but if u really want them id id put them in a averiy do them for canker cocci all types of worms put on a course of parastop wait 5 days then vaccinate for parathyroid really u are a taking a massive chance with these birds there's so many different kinds of diseases and virus doing the rounds id leave them where they are
