Guest strapper Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 not trying to discredit the bird for sale but as i fly in wales i cannot remember when there was 30,000 in a national?? i was wondering what national this was?...as it seems a big amount to be in a national.......or should it have meant combine?...in that case the national amount would have been a considerably lower amount. as stated not trying to discredit you or the bird.

maxwell Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 not trying to discredit the bird for sale but as i fly in wales i cannot remember when there was 30,000 in a national?? i was wondering what national this was?...as it seems a big amount to be in a national.......or should it have meant combine?...in that case the national amount would have been a considerably lower amount. as stated not trying to discredit you or the bird. In 2005 i believe that the highest amount of pigeons released in the Combine was in Maidstone old birds and it was 17,187 birds. Any National as Paul said would be nowhere near 30,000 i would personally of thought that it would be more likely to be 3,000. This is also not put here to discredit the bird just letting you know.
thunderbigbaws Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 it was in 2005 and thats all i know mate. what national was it in, what route and what distance. there are that many nationals in wales. week in week out, im not taking it away from the winners cause they have to be good to win into wales

pjc Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 My old Stamvaeter cock bred 2 birds to top the combine in Wales, mid 90's with 23000 + 24000 birds, proper birdages!
Guest strapper Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 there have been no nationals in wales in the last 15 years that have held 30,000 in a national...and i dont think anyone is questioning blythys honesty chris ..the ped was i take it from the previous owner?...so blythy is only going off info he has been given. the south east is the largest national and as maxwell suggested the biggest birdage was under 18,000..and thats a combine. if anyone has any info on the national that held 30,000 birdage id be the 1st and id gladly appologise to blythy for any posts on this subject. i think he (blythy) already knows i aint doubting himself...he,s only going off info he,s had. i have pmd blythy in a good manner.
