Roland Posted March 2, 2018 Report Posted March 2, 2018 Laura Muir won Great Britain's first medal of the 2018 World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, as a gutsy display delivered bronze over 3,000m. Against a field of star quality at that! Once the exams are out the way, I believe, hope, that a truly great time will evolve. I believe, regardless how good this, and past performances have been, IT IS only the start and making of a brilliant career. Yes I look forward with great expectations. Laura has every thing one has come to known, and expect from a Scot. Tenacity and belief in them selves. A never say die attitude. To see her look of pain and determination, not too proud to say, brings tears of emotions and a screaming at the telly... I wish her well for the coming 1500 metres.
Roland Posted March 3, 2018 Author Report Posted March 3, 2018 Good to see Kat get the Gold. Will help her mental approach no end in the future. Some may try and decry it saying Thiam and another weren't there. I say you can only beat what is in front of one ... Besides she maybe would have picked up much more points if not falling short of her best in ALL bar one event.... Which would / will put her up with the elite any way, and when performing as such would improve too. Mind having said that, she wasn't far off a world record ... and is / was quite capable of breaking it.
