Quality Birds Free to a Good Home

A young man who lives locally had 14 young birds from me. All of them are bred from a least one winning parent. Some have two winning parents. They are flying well and have been treated for the normal disease prevention. They have been on darkness and they look a picture.

The young man came to my door tonight in a distressed state to tell me that he has been put out of the house he was living in with his lady friend.

The pigeons must go straight away. They are far too good to kill.

They will be free. Just the cost of the carriage.

Thanks to everyone that has contacted me about the birds. Things got really bad after my thread was put out. The birds were taken to the friend of the original owner and put into and aviary there. Meanwhile I was trying to help the young man sort things out in general. The first priority being to get a roof over his head.

The friend then wanted to take the birds for himself. I refused point blank and told both of them how I felt. People have had birds from me in this area and have done a lot of winning with them. This includes Nationals and Federations. And the birds I have developed now are ever better. So I wanted the birds to go out of the area.

Then the friend then decided that he could not keep them any longer so something had to be done quickly. They have been taken by someone living at the Rhondda Valley which is miles from here. It is someone who is starting again after a domestic upheaval. There seems to be a lot of it about.

If the New Starters that sent pms to me would like to contact me next spring, I will rear them something really good for the price of the carriage. The birds I rear will all be out of my Bull Cocks which are multiple winners. Most of the hens I use are also winners. Next year, as you can imagine, I will be another step along the road, so the winning genes will be in another generation.

Best regards to everyone who tried to help

If you are refering to numpty and Mike1957 Gazza, they are both Genuine, I took birds to Oxford for Mike last year and although he has been around birds for years is a new starter when it comes to racing.

I have saved the pms I got and those will be the people I will deal with. Of the 15 pms there are only a few that are genuine new starters and I will probably check things out as you have suggested. To be honest, I like my birds to go to new homes because it helps me to work out how good they really are. If I am doing things right they should win for any decent Fancier. I know that new starters usually don't give the birds the right treatment, but it is still some sort of a test. Besides I don't have an unlimited supply of birds because I will only breed from cocks that have won at least 4 races. To me, anything else is just potential, and they have to show me that they are not one race wonders. What this means in practice is that I work out how many YBs I have available and that will be the number I will let go. These days, I only fly 12 cocks so as you can see I will never have unlimited birds available and I am only interested in the very best.
