I would like to start by saying what a cracking result Hot Spot 5 was for the Scottish fanciers, every fancier has birds home and going to the final, I forgot to say hello on the live stream to my good mates The Old Firm Syndicate, we have now started preparations for the final you are all welcome.

The birds home from Portland are bouncing plus the missing birds started to come from early this morning in heavy rain, but what I saw later in the day when the rain had been stopped for around 2 hours I could not believe, myself and Rob was doing some fencing near the loft when around 25 pigeons appeared from no-where my thoughts were have I left the Aviary door open but no it wasn't, I grabbed the whistle opened the traps and bang, bang, bang, 20 pigeon's was for us about 5 other's cleared off, so these had really stuck together, I have updated the result and posted it on the results page of our web site whodareswinsoneloftrace.club

Preparation's For The Final : I have been to see the caterer's to sort out the food etc, after a bit of bartering they have agreed to keep everything at the same cost as last year but I need to know numbers ASAP of who and how many are coming, the cost per ticket is Â£15.00 to include all day all you can eat hot buffet which will include a BBQ, Three Meat Roast and to round it all off if you have room Pie & Peas, every year people who attend cannot praise the food and hospitality enough we expect this year to be even bigger and better than any before, all we ask is can you please can you confirm if you are coming to the final and want a ticket.

Saturday Night Get Together : I know quite a few fanciers are coming for the whole weekend and we would like to have a get together with everyone, we have a few choices for anyone who might be interested, we have contacted the Italian Restaurant which we ourselves can recommend, they will do us a 3 coarse excellent meal for Â£25 per head you will have many choices of all 3 courses, or we can book a table in our local hotel and you can choose what you would like to eat from their extensive menu which is very responsibly priced, as many know we are far too busy on Sunday so this is our chance to come out and meet and greet all plus have a good drink and plenty of banter, can anyone interested please either E-Mail, Text or phone me, again with it being the bank holiday weekend we need numbers ASAP.

Get In On The Act : After a gruelling training schedule and 5 hot spot races we still have 4 venture birds for sale at Â£400 each, yes we appreciate these are expensive but you have the chance to race for a massive Â£44,000 in the final and from across the water its anyones race, to enter the race the cost was Â£500 for a team of 4 with no guarantees of any making the final, now all thats gone and these birds have made the final so it could prove to be a cheap investment.
