Lookin for help an info an channel racing,

what to feed

when is best to start feeding differnet grain

best motorvation before basketing

an any other help or advice people think is good.

thanks

depends what distance you flying over the channel

500 plus heavier feed 2 weeks before, add peanuts and popcorn maize

fatten them up a bit for reserves

race to a big young bird 10 to 14 days old (cock) or eggs chipping ,2 or 3 day old chick (hen)

a few single tosses at about 50/60 miles

just the basics

if your flying w/hood like a lot do now over the channel even long distance

there is so many tricks you can do with them . here,s just one try this for the first channel race .

if your going to pool one ,take the cock out of the loft and show his hen a different cock then let the pool

cock back in the loft but dont let him get in the box let him see the other cock in the box with his hen leave

for a few minutes then basket him up for the race . as for feed you want one with lots of different maizes in

peanuts, hemp , sunflower hearts and more peanuts , they have to be motivated by you

forgot to say if you havent got quality pigeons to fly the channel like we all want .

all the best food and training and motivation will not be enough , ive found that out

so think quality every time , and good luck

a mixture of gabbys , bucshearts , van da wegens , jan ardens .

national racing like i do it can be heart breaking one minute you have a good

race and do well get on the result , then you get them ready for the next race

and you never see them again . and you start all over again one minute your up next your down

but i would not change it for the world
