Roland Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 I had cats galore here when I first came here. Got the electric fence up! Problem solved. Yes some watch from over the fences. New neighbour moved in... 7 cats ... too many. Says she 'I hope you don't mind ... and I hope they won't up set the pigeons! Idiot! So I placidly said. 'Nah they won't bother them none'. When I had to dismantle the lofts ... last time was when I built this bungalow for the birds ... Cat crap galore! Even had foot prints in the concrete floor lol... So as soon as able the electric fence was up. No problem. I have put wire mesh on all the fences... were the 6 x 6 squared. Then a electric wire on top... about 5 inches above. All around the top of the loft and two strands in centre in case one drops in from the trees ... Happen twice... But they got a shock lol. Now one fence I have bolted to my wall. The top is there for on neighbours side ... though my wall. She had a cat once.... Now has dogs sanctuary home etc. No problem . But in formed her that I have also run a wire on top of that! Told her that some times a cat would sit on the war watching my pigeons. Was a little perturb that a dog mite leap up and get a jolt. I said 'Wouldn't hurt it none ... but will disconnect it ... But watch the wire isn't join up ... I just wrap the wire together and a lead goes down to the wall wire. Said I will re-join if a cat sits on the wall ... which I have done the odd time ... they are soon cured. Best £63 I've ever spent regards the pigeon and fouling cats. No Crap in garden and peace of mind.
