cmcmillan1988 Posted March 6, 2017 Report Posted March 6, 2017 when we built our lofts many moons ago,we were told 18 inches from next door fence no problem, now the wife wants a small out house built ,18ftx10ft.how far would it need to be from the house, will be wooden,I was checking planning before byielding my loft and sure it's 6 meters from the house 1 meter from neighbours fence and can't be higher than 2 and a half meters also think there is a limit to how much of ur entire garden u can erect structures think it's 3/4 of ur total garden space including ur front or side garden I'm sure these are the dimensions maybe try go ogling planning permissions in ur area
big blue bar Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 Up where we are you can erect a shed right on the boundary as long as it's not taller than 2.5 metres , but always check with your local authorities
