I wouldn't as i was reading about moult on pipa site other day and split feathers have something to do with bird being anemic caused by sum sort o disease , cure ? Sure it mentioned sumat about a tea of sum sort ! Atb

What you said could have caused this ,poor nutrition lack of grit calcium etc and minerals while being away from loft ,important time of the year for birds they need taken care of to give them a good moult .
