Roland Posted November 12, 2016 Report Posted November 12, 2016 Is there any need for it? 95% of the public, Scots included no doubt are disgusted with this behaviour. Like wise in the Poland Game / Russia etc. etc. I remember when they tore the goal posts down etc. WHICH led to the 'Home Games' being abandoned. Many will voice excuses, but the reality is there isn't any, regardless what national pride they sadly distort. It came hours after Scottish supporters descended on Trafalgar Square climbing on the iconic lions, swimming in the fountains and littering the landmark with empty beer cans and rubbish. The fans invaded the square hours after the Armistice Day parade to remember those killed in the First World War. Shocked Londoners took to social media to express their disgust. One Twitter user wrote: “To the Scotland 'fans' trashing the remembrance tribute in Trafalgar Square, and the public toilets? You're scum.†Another user said: “This is how Scottish football fans leave Trafalgar Square on #ArmisticeDay. Don't hold your breath for a condemnation from @NicolaSturgeon!†So forth and so on.
Upsndoons Posted November 13, 2016 Report Posted November 13, 2016 and your point is ?The POINT is that regardless of nationality, national allegiance, national pride or long held believe of wrong doings, simple respect for each other and civil behaviour while representing your country, team or gang is not to much to ask and seems to be something that is accepted as not necessary in the name of supporting a team in sport. It is not a lot to ask to behave well, clean up your rubbish and maintain good humour and friendly batter while enjoying the day out.But then again I was brought up right. Rant over, shall now crawl back into my cave.
