kraftykev Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 hi everyone. does anyone know where i can buy the big cardboard boxes that the couries use. i had some but when i am not here i have to leave the birds boxed up for the couries. i do ask for a replacement box but some of the drivers just pick them up and leave without leaving boxes. if i cant buy any do you think the couries would take them in a cardboard box from the supermarket with holes put in or do they have to be proper burd boxes. thanks everyone.all the best kev
Delboy Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Pets At Home , the boxes for rabbits but im sure the couriers will accept anything m8 as long as you put plenty of air holes in it and mark top and bottom.
paddymac Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 As long as the box is clearly marked with address and a contact number they will accept the birds in any kind of box. I have used the boxes that Del has mentioned from "Pets at Home", they are slightly smaller in size to what the couriers use and are only suitable to carry about 4 Ybs.
Bryngwynt Lofts Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Couriers I have used, are more than willing to put ybs into there. big boxes for kits of 6 not a problem. If I leave young birds in baskets the courier is more than happy to put them into the 6 yb boxesI'm sure if you ask them they will do the same for you.
kraftykev Posted February 12, 2016 Author Report Posted February 12, 2016 thanks for all the replies they have been very helpful
