one tablespoon to 5 pints of water you dont want to use any more than that i also would not use it with warm water as it may start to ferment i would also only mix it right before the birds come home as it would start to ferment also its full of sugars which bad bacteria thrive from i would also give my drinkers a good wash after its use

 

 

i personally put noting in the water before or after a race due to the birds if not likeing the taste wont drink as much which could cause dehydration
