Lost young bird off loft 3 days ago got phone call today from Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue in Beith Ayrshire was handed in to them 2 days ago ripped open they patched it back together. It was picked up by a lady in Dalgarven and then handed in to Hessilhead and i must say they done a great job with it and did'nt want a penny but left a donation they have a few pigeons there and some of them are crackers. Its obviously got a scare here and got panicked then got struck by BOP in Ayrshire long way for a young bird just on the wing.

They were birds that had been handed in damaged and the owners did'nt want they back which i think is pretty poor for our sport there were 2 that i would'nt have minded a Cheq cock and a Red Pied cock 2 crackers. They did say to me if i did'nt want it back ie if i was going to kill it they would keep it themselves so can only quess thats whats happened to the other pigeons that are there so have to give them credit for that.

Come into here at your peril this place is infested way them doos have no chance

Was'nt training mate lost off the loft

My first toss was last Sunday at 10.30 @ approx 6 mile took 44 and by 6.30 i had 7, by the time i shut the loft 22.00 i had 21 however at 6pm Elaine said i am putting all the sharp knifes out of your sight lol.

To date i have 38/44 and two are cut an burst with one only having 2 tail feathers (only had to collect 2), i have went back to the same spot twice and all birds have returned so yesterday i went 2 mile further then again today and all birds home.

With this section i am going to give them as many short tosses as possible up to 20 mile max and see how the perform during racing as they have been flying out around the loft for about 3 month and flying for 2 or 3 hours every night.
