I learnt a few years ago where the term "Fed up" comes from. A hawk/buzzard etc is termed fed up when it has a full crop and therefore would not be interested in food or flying. If you are fed-up you are sat around doing nothing or bored. When they have a full crop it expands showing a white patch. This signals to their prey they are fed up and no longer a threat for the day.
