Novice Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Title is the name given to pigeons whose tail points skywards when handled. Is this a sign of a weak back? Have any of you won with a pigeon which does this?
moscow master Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 hi robert its a thing i dont have in the loft cant mind the last time i had one handle plenty at the marking nights maybe this where im going wrong ps i know plenty moon men ha hope you enjoyed the night at kilwinning and i never nipped your heid to much ha cant beat a bit of banter
geordie1234 Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 I find if you get a pigeon that is a moon pointer as you call it... it also has other negatives ie handling etc I have handled my fair share of national winners and not one was a moon pointer Of coarse a moon pointer can win a race bt from 500 miles I doubt it
paddymac Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 I would say that moon pointers most definately have a weak back
Novice Posted November 3, 2014 Author Report Posted November 3, 2014 3 opinions and all negative. I have a pair of latebreds showing this in the loft now.I will certainly split the parents but may race the youngsters for curiosity. No Ricky I did enjoy the night out and the company was second to none.I agree there are loads of moon men especially in the ranks of pigeon fanciers.
