maverick Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 PENTLAND FEDERATION GOING TO MAIDSTONE WITH THE S.N.F.C
maverick Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 i would like all national races to be from over 500 miles but with the drop in birdage in all racing you need some way of getting money in to help with the costs of channel racing.
maverick Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 it looks like making up into a very good race
Guest Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 well done pentland fed its the only way forward will it save your fed money?
frank-123 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 how many feds are going now with the snfc anyone know????
maverick Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 IT WILL SAVE THE FED A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY LIKE MOST FEDS THE LONGER RACES COST A GREAT DEAL AND MOST IF NOT ALL FEDS LOSE OUT ON THESE RACES
GREENGRASS Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 anyone have a guess at what the birdage might be, i know some fanciers think the nationals should be convoyed and liberated seperately but i think it will be great to have a large convoy of birds all heading back to scotland. would like to be able to compare the velocities from all the feds competing to see how evens out.
maverick Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 i think all feds have until APRIL 1st to get back to S.N.F.C
Guest Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 well done pentland fed its the only way forward will it save your fed money?
frank-123 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 the national may attract a lot more birds across the channel if returns are good from maidstone just lets hope so
maverick Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 I HOPE IT HELPS ENCOURAGE MORE MEMBERS TO JOIN
Guest Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Shaping up to be quite a race. I'm really looking forward to this season.
frank-123 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 north west and pentland are going with the snfc any others confirmed
sj irving jnr Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 solway fed going to newbury but not maidstone
Guest Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Don't have the dates to hand, but remember thinking that there were now two 300+ mile 'set-up' races, Newbury 3 weeks before Gold Cup race, and Maidstone 3 weeks before Tours or Falaise? By set-up races I mean the 8-10 hours fly prior to the channel that I've been advised is a good way to prep your channel candidates. So I think these kind of races go hand-in-hand with channel races, and if its successful who knows what 2008, will bring? SNFC convoying Federation 500 mile races? And as far as Federation racing is concerned, this is the first year that I have had a chance to fly two 300 mile races (330 and 370) with my Fed. Personally, I think it is a step forward for all.

frank-123 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 i was at a club meeting on wednesday and it looks like most guys are going with the snfc to maidstone do you think the lanarkshire fed may have shot themselves in the foot not going with the snfc before anyone jumps down my throat i know the delegates made the decision
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Yes it is annoying that common sense has been thrown out the window, It has not done any good having 2 different races from Maidstone on the same day, but the birdage will be determined by how the federation races have faired upto these race. But at the end of the day that's democracy. :) 8) 8)

Guest TAMMY_1 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 NOT SO BRUNO,AS I SAID IF THE INTERFERING FOLK HAD KEPT OUT OF SOMETHING THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM THEN MAYBE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A FAIR CHANCE, BUT OUTSIDERS WERE TRYING HARD AS THEY COULD TO ARRANGE WHO LANARKSHIRE WERE GOING WITH, AND YOUR POST IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF COMMENTS ABOUT LANARKSHIRE THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU, IF YOU AND YOUR FED ARE GOING FINE THATS UP TO YOU BUT THERE WAS NOT ONE SINGLE DELEGATE REPRESENTING OVER 500 MEMBERS THAT ASKED FOR LANARKSHIRE TO GO WITH THE SNFC, EVERY SINGLE ONE AGREED TO A NO VOTE, AND AS YOU SEE THERE ARE OTHER FEDS TURNING DOWN THE SAME THING, ARE THEY CUTTING OFF THEIR NOSE AS WELL ?
