Bruno you are either missing the whole point here or iam reading different posts than you the ques was is he right or not yes he is right to highlite if someone goes to the extent of manipulating the constution to the point of fabricating members and clubs just to have a backup when he is removed from his fed he has been with for years then i think its not only 100% wrong but given that that then lets that person back into the position to stop any further chance of fair election in the future why would any person go to they lengths you must ask yourself that question and the shus own bal/sheet clearly shows the membership for all the feds its not only that fed thats in dispute check your details you got from the union prior and let us know if all the figs. add up acording to mr shearer they dont and after all he is a past sec. of the union but they will proberbly just rubbish his name now regarding the open minds thing if they are removed correctly by the members then the people taking over will have an open mind and all that remains is to get together with like minded people from the ones that left are you against that?

While I agree with open minds and discussion, yours and other posts here infer that the formation of W.O.S Fed is 'iffy' and somehow caused the split from the SHU (it was the other way round, surely) and other members' posts also seem to infer that W.O.S Fed was formed for the sole purpose of giving the SHU President a delegate position.. and also infer its numbers doesn't warrant a delegate, and that SHU Council condones all this ...

 

None of these positions can be said to be the product of an Open Mind... it is simply another attempt to remove someone from a post by removing his delegateship, this time by deliberate meddling in and undermining of WOS Feds private business. Since when does one Fed's members decide who can represent another Fed?

(1) WOS Fed was in existence before John Barlow was removed as a Lanarkshire Fed official in 2006. Who told him in advance that he would not be re-elected? WOS Fed formation must have been the subject of a Council Meeting. Our own Fed Delegates must have voted on it.  Are Council (our delegates) brass monkeys that see, hear & speak no evil???

 

(2) There was an election for SHU Presidency in March 2007. Our own Fed Delegates voted the person back in. Are our delegates brass monkeys that see, hear & speak no evil???

 

(3) You elected the people to Office.

I hope that the del. can do as you say fifer your idea is correct but up until now that has not been allowed to hapen and thats the whole problem maybe now that most of the old guard have been replaced the correct procedures will be able to take place as you say the del. should be running the show not 2/3 men who think they own the union and are above being replaced or questioned

no need for the time frame bruno it has already been explained 3 weeks ago but there on amission   as iam aware duplication is allowed until the members decide at the agm to change this we are a fed we will abide by any decision made at that time unlike others    it is the wos members who decide the membership of our fed anyone has the right to have there opinion on this but our members since the bhw article have this message we are only interested in the opinios of current shu members

With respect, I am not the one being evasive or posting misleading information; The West of Scotland is a Federation recognised by the SHU. Personally, I find it rich that you of all people should call other people's actions disingenuous, sleekit, and prostitute. Whenever anything is posted about SHU you are an admirable example of all these qualities yourself, and more, tho what commendable attributes a fly round sh** has, I don't know, you'd need to ask the other flies.

 

And as for my being evasive: I am still waiting for you to answer a question posed on the last thread on this: what is your end-game strategy if this Fed doesn't meet the numbers game; are you happy to disband the Fed & Clubs and put these people out of the pigeon game? Force them to join another Fed not of their choosing?  Force them to join another Union against their will?? Well, O Wise One ??

The answer is still the same you do not need to be a member of a fed to be a member of a club and a member of the shu you are still able to fly your doos. That is if you have 5 flying lofts thats the rules Bruno lad the SHU rules not mine. As I also said the last time you asked, don't know why you are asking "me" why not ask your mate who is a member of Dumbarton, sorry I mean WOS fed he knows all the rules I am sure he will be to explain how he has managed to get round quite a few recently.
