i use up and over widowhood hen boxes in my yearling section there only 14inch wide 14 inch deep so i cut some thin ply floor inserts and made them 4inch deeper so that the cocks can sit at the front when box is closed the weight of the bowl and the front down holds it in position i then screwed 6 inch strips of thin ply or hardboard inbetween each set of 4 boxes vertical which stops the cocks fighting and jumping from box to box allows me to get 24 boxes in the 8ft section and about 3ft off the ground only thing that would make it better would be slightly smaller nest bowls from the normal size as there a bit big use to be smaller white ones out years ago looked everywhere but dont think anyone makes them now but it works fine for me
