it was a defra offical who informed me............... ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

And are they going to take any action against them if they know they held an illegal show Greengrass  ?

dont know tammy but was told if they had turned up on the night they could have culled the entire entry and prosecutions would have followed, what makes it worse is that people were bragging about how many cards they had won etc... we had just been told that there would be an easing of restrictions by the weekend and then these clowns go and risk it all for a second rate show........makes you wonder just how stupid the individuals involved are but the striking fact is that the shu president is a member of the club involved....what an example to set.

I WOULD LOVE THIS TO BE BROUGHT UP AT THE NEXT SHU DELEGATE MEETING AND SEE WHAT THE PRESIDENT HAD TO SAY ABOUT IT ;)

If an event is held illegally, the penalty on summary conviction is imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months, or a fine not exceeding level 5 (£5,000) on the standard scale fixed by the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995, or both

Spot on,when I ran our flying club shows I know it said on the form/license that I [not the club] would be held personally responsible for all fines or any breaches of the licensing conditions,so whoever ran this show must be a complete idiot as they are personally liable

I hope the their Fed takes appropriate action as Tammy said he played by the rules the DEFRA rules are not just for one they are for all. I hope they are members of this site and realise that their actions have jeopardised the enjoyment of many fanciers - next will to name and shame

unfortunatley they had no secy/president from oct to january the acting secy must have arranged the show in question  ;)
