I recon there are only about 200 active members on this site MAX, I have posted forum statistics before and they got removed by the powers at be, 3000 members is pie in the sky figures, looks good when promoting the site but not acurate by any means :-/

 

I used to run a successful sports merchandise company. One of my tasks in the past to study other groups to see if they were a concern to me or other peoples ventures

In January 2008 I looked at PB in the same way as they are reckoned to be the top pigeon sites with nearly two and a half thousand members, where in reality they only have a body of approximately 150 to 200

94 x 25 = 2350 members

2350 – 1137 have joined and never posted = 1213 members

2350 – 1337 have only posted once = 1013 members

2350 – 1440 have only posted twice = 910 members

2350 – 1520 have only posted three times = 830

2350 – 1620 have posted only five times = 730

2350 – 1725 have posted less than 10 times = 622 newbe

2350 – 1870 have posted less than 20 times = 480

2350 – 2170 have posted less than 100 times = 180 hatchling

2350 – 2206 have posted less than 200 times = 144

2350 – 2226 have posted less than 250 times = 124 old birds

2350 – 2299 have posted less than 500 times = 51 veterans

So out of our members we have a total of 2350 members,

Out of that 1137 members that have joined and never posted leaving 1013 members

Only 730 have posted more than 5 times leaving

Only 620 have only posted more than ten time becoming hatchlings

Only 180 have made it to old bird posting more than 250 times

Out of the 2350, only 51 have made it veteran posting more than 500 times

thats what i was argueing on site falcons were brought here by the gentry and then lived wild eagle owls were residents in all magor forrest areas    but the kill perigrins thats a no no as far as rspb is concerned

 

chris falcons are a migarty bird they travell thosands of miles some of them yes some where boughth here by gentry but most came here through there own devices and the thruth be known ure better off not even talking to them just everyone do there own thing simple as less they know the better

You've got to get the people at the top to do something about it. Stick a quid on every member in every union. Yes, you may not have the same problems in Ireland YET. It has started though. You have got to get the public on your side. Every time you get a raptor story its always "persecuted or hunted to near extiction".  Tell them the truth, the lost sparrows, why theres been a slug/snail explosion, if you 're wondering the last part...ask a gardener. Big decline in thrushes. Another group to try and get onboard.

they closed site due to myself loseing my temper and telling them home truths which you are not allowed to do they will quoate figures all night and because im not sat with book in front of me im thick stupic ignorant and you can think what else i have been called when bringing up there own researsh on pre pigeons you will not get answer they ignor and go onto anoter topic if you answer more than 3 posts you get warning for spamming bullys single minded i m glad this site is fairer and open to debate at all times even if we disagree at times

i just went onto that site to post, iam sorry to say its true, there is no talking to those people,they are not interested in anything apart from their hawks,but i do know one thing this jacket idea scares the cxxx out of them,[which is a bonus]
